As much as I wanted the trip to be longer, her house was not exactly in New Jersey so it did not take more than twenty minutes by car. Living in NYC for years, just like everyone else, I hated the busy traffic but for today, I wished the traffic was busy. Again, not my lucky day because the traffic was good and we did not have any hitch on our way to her apartment.

"Are you going to be okay?" asked Autumn once I parked the car on the side of the road, in front of her building.

I bobbed my head. "Yeah. Don't worry, Isobel might be a bitch but she won't bite."

Autumn let out a giggle. "Why all bad mothers always named Isobel?"

I was confused for a few seconds before I figured out what she was referring to. "Ah, Elena's mom, Alaric's wife. She was a bitch too." I nodded, agreeing with her. "Yeah, I think if you have a kid, you shouldn't name her Isobel. It kinda gives a bad omen, I guess."
