A charred piece of reddish material flew across the training area and littered the already messy area filled with chunks of target dummies with various types of damage. Many of them were either sliced cleanly off, corroded with some unknown poison, or burned from a ferocious fire.

A pristine shadowy blade was half sunk into the ground and stood next to an exhausted black-eared beastkin using the weapon to keep him half-standing.

Sweat poured from his brow and every part of his body ached. "Let's take a break Ember. We've been training and sparing nonstop since we forged our Weapon Spirits. And Elder Gundlach certainly seemed enthusiastic to spar with us."

Rubbing a large bruise on the side of his ribs that he had received after a fierce kick from the Elder, Noxtis sighed as he saw the equally tired but still enthusiastic Ember attacking one of the few standing target dummies.
