Capítulo 39: Don’t Want to Owe You Money

Moments later, Freya finally stammered, "I… I have something to tell you."

"Don't you think you are very irritating?"

Freya did not answer. Instead, she handed the man a bank card.

Gideon asked impatiently, "What's this for?"

"You helped me pay for the old folks home previously. I wanted to give you back the money."

Gideon looked at her quizzically. "How did you come up with the money?"

Freya replied, "Don't ask."

The man did not take the card. Freya placed the card in his hand carefully without making any skin contact.

Gideon glanced at her for a few seconds. "Did you borrow it?"

"Uh huh." Freya nodded candidly. Since she did not steal the money, she did not try hiding the truth.

Gideon laughed coldly. He held the bank card between his index and middle finger and held it in front of Freya. "You are Mrs. Carter. How could you borrow money from people?"
