I finally give in to his demands, and I'm finally here. He was kind of hoping that I will come to like you and then we'll get married. But the truth is... I already have a boyfriend that I love so much and he's the one that I want to marry, not you," she confessed the truth.

However, she can't tell Jake that she's already married to her boyfriend because he might tell his mother, and then Kristy will tell her father about it. She feared that her father will suffer another heart attack again after learning the truth. She can't afford something horrifying like that to happen. Her father might not be able to survive another heart attack. She doesn't want to be the reason for his untimely passing.
