Guo Yang's apartment was on the eighth floor of the complex. Although the elevator still had power and could be used, they dared not recklessly enter it, fearing they might get trapped inside and be unable to call for help.

The zombies in the hallways had been mostly cleared by them in the previous days; however, their car was parked in the underground garage, which meant they needed to go down another level.

The underground garage was pitch dark as the motion-sensor lights were no longer working. Fortunately, Guo Yang had a flashlight at home, and even with that, all three felt an eerie presence.

Since Guo Yang had discovered his Space Element Ability before leaving, the three of them were traveling light, apart from the weapons they carried.
