Without the effect of medication, Wen Ran didn't sleep until ten in the morning as she had the previous few nights.

After Mo Xiuchen finished his call and returned to bed, he pulled the soundly sleeping Wen Ran into his arms. Her eyes fluttered open, half-closed in sleepiness as if in a haze. She looked at him for a few seconds before gently asking, "Mo Xiuchen, haven't you slept yet?"

Mo Xiuchen smiled softly and brought his lips to her forehead, leaving there a kiss. His thin lips didn't lift immediately, instead tenderly staying on the skin of her forehead. With a tender and magnetic voice, he softly coaxed her, "Sleep."

Wen Ran, not fully awake, muttered an 'uh-huh' in response to his light pats on her back, closed her eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.

From the corner of his eyes to the corners of his mouth was painted a warm curve. His dark eyes filled with indulgence as he quietly gazed at Wen Ran sleeping in his arms.

He himself had no desire to sleep.
