Capítulo 32: Chapter 32: The Dead Woman in the Window

I poured over some charts of the region and was able to pinpoint where we needed to go to within a few miles. Unfortunately, where we needed to go was in the middle of nowhere further up in the Andes Mountains. According to Cassandra, there weren’t any roads to speak of up there, and her Jeep would only be able to get us so far, so we’d be hoofing it for much of the way. A hike into the mountains meant provisions, and though I secretly guessed that Xander could pull anything he needed out of his fanny pack, he suggested we ride into town to stock up.

Though he did emphasize that we should ride into a town where we weren’t likely wanted for a triple murder.

Cecil begged off the errand, blaming a debilitating case of ‘I-need-to-stay-here-and-drink-more,’ so Xander and I piled into the Jeep and held on for dear life as Cassandra, who had been bad enough when she was driving uphill, endangered our lives on the mad dash down the mountain after two drinks of not-alcohol.
