"Long time no see, Vulkan. How have you been these past few years? It sounds like you still haven't changed one bit." asked Obi-Wan as he stood up and slowly walked to the window of his small shack.
"I'm fine my friend, you looked older than we last met. I only want to have a talk with you regarding something." the friendly voice of Vulkan was heard, replacing the previous electronic voice of the cyborg.
"Talk? About what exactly? I don't know if I can help you with your predicament. I'm only a normal human, yet you, you're akin what will some people call a god." said Obi-Wan as the aura of a wise sage can be felt exuding from his body.
"Obi-Wan, if you're given the power, the command on an army with no equal. An army that will always follow whatever you say. Go wherever you point. Die whenever you say so. What will you do?" asked Vulkan truthfully. Vulkan may be a primarch but even with all his capabilities he's still after all a human. Someone bound by emotions and morality. He was feeling a lot of pressure ever since he became the Supreme War Commander. It's like he can't fail or make any mistake as one mistake will surely cost the lives of innumerable humans.
Then there's also the factor of not wanting to disappoint his father. It's part of a child's nature of always wanting to maie their parents proud. Making them want to appreciate them and their achievements.
Obi-Wan turned his body to face Vulkan as he thought of an answer.
The sound of wind blowing as sand hit the small shack was heard. The silence between the two friends engulfed the whole shack as even the slightest sound of a fly was heard.
"I don't know..." after sometime Obi-Wan finally answered. He truly doesn't know the answer. He's only a measly jedi, he's not like Vulkan at all. Vulkan was a prince or a primarch rather, he's an heir to that Golden man's Imperium.
He can't possibly imagine how well he'll fair when he and Vulkan changed positions. Their worlds as so far apart that comparing them was like comparing the poorest man to a god.
"But I'll take a good guess, you're feeling pressure because you don't want to disappoint someone? Presumably your father. Am I right?" asked Obi-Wan as he observed Vulkan's reaction intently by looking at his actions. However, just like before, he didn't find any notable changes in his actions.
Vulkan just gently nodded as he stood up and joined Obi-Wan on his sightseeing.
"It's a normal emotion Vulkan. We all wanted to make our parents of parent figure proud one way or another. The only thing I can suggest to you is live your life. I'm sure your father and mother are already more than proud of a man like you." said Obi-Wan as he tapped the shoulders of Vulkan as they watched the sun set on the horizon.
"Is he really proud of me?"
I forgot to release this yesterday lmao
