A large explosion suddenly happened that hit and destroyed an AT AT in one shot. This explosion was delivered by an Imperium bomber soaring through the skies of one of the battlefields. Guardsmen of the Imperium charged with their bayonets affixed on their lasrifles, doing a crazy charge and forcing the stormtroopers to fight on close range.
The fires of battle was still raging on even after 3 years has passed. The ferocity of the Imperium has proved to be too much for the new and upstart of an empire to handle properly. Star system after star system fell on the might of the Imperium.
There weren't any notable battles that happened except the battle at Naboo which ended on an astounding Empire defeat. The main guns of the Imperium too hasn't seen any deployments as the weaker Space Marines chapters are almost always certainly enough to deal with anything. No titans, no knights, not even a librarian or Primaris. The Empire wasn't just up to the standards where these guns can be deployed.
The Galactic Empire's size has shrunken with a considerable size. From the seventy million of planets including colonies and vassals to a almost a mere forty million worlds left with star systems getting lost each day.
The treatment of the habitable planets with humans was way better than the treatment of the planets which inhabitants wasn't human.
The planets with humans was left to rule for themselves as the Imperium put a puppet as the head of the planet. On the other hand, those planets with not so human populace wasn't spared from anything.
They're turned into free labor for the Imperium war machine. The people that's about to die or looks like will die any moment was sent into a food processing plant where they're euthanized and turned into canned goods which were distributed amongst the populace. This system was effective as their planets became self sufficient whilst at the same time contributing greatly to the Imperium.
Everything happened so fast as the Empire lost millions of troops per star system. The whole casualty count in just 3 years has already exceeded hundred billion easily.
The Empire has not managed to score even a single victory against the Imperium. After Darth Vader's miserable failure on Naboo where they're forced on retreating as the enemy proved to be too much for them to handle.
Darth Vader after knowing about the retreat and failure was beyond angry. He choked his staff in anger as some of them died including the second in command. While some of them lived, as those who's against the retreat was promoted by Darth Vader personally.
At this moment, Darth Vader developed anger and hatred against the Imperium which greatly strengthened his powers. He's hellbent on defeating the Imperium no matter what. He's experienced defeat and humiliation more than once and it's enough for him. to develop a great hate against the Imperium.
The planet of Naboo also has been fortified by a simple fleet of ten battleships that roamed around the star system. This was besides the nearby star subsector defense fleet that also patrols the star system of Naboo. The planet of Tatooine was exempted from the conquering as per the Primarch Vulkan's orders. Probably because of his friends currently staying there or some other reasons that only he knows.
In reality, the speed may be fast but the Imperium deliberately slowed down their star system hopping campaign as Vulkan feared that the logistics and reinforcements wouldn't keep up with them.
The Rebel alliance has also been formally created which made things interesting for every side of this galaxy wide conflict.

The Emperor was looking at the massive soul collecting module stationed on Sol star as he can see the fluctuations on it as the volume slowly rose for every death on the galaxy. He's been looking forward on the day where he get to revive the angel named Sanguinius and hug him tightly.
The container's contents isn't really visible for anyone if you're not the Emperor or you're not on the control room of the modules, this thing originally made the Emperor shocked on the event. The requirements of souls he thought was around a trillion or two but from the looks of it, it will take at least another hundreds of trillions or possibly quadrillions to have the whole container full and finally do the ritual.
At this moment, Kitten barged inside the balcony where he was sitting and observing the modules with a rather interesting news. The custodians guarding him didn't even flinched the slightest on the jumpscare by their Captain General.
"My liege! A spy managed has reported something." reported the Captain General of the Custodians called Kitten to his liege. He was too busy on matters such as protecting the Emperor, and protecting the Emperor. It's repeated twice as to stress the importance of this matter.
"Oh, something like information about the enemy should be given to Vulkan right? He's the Warmast-I mean Supreme War Commander after all." said the Emperor with a near Freudian slip, the slip didn't matter to the Captain General as he carries something really important.
"My liege, the enemy has finished building the Death Star!" said the Captain General as he stressed the part where they finished building a planet cracking weapon.
A deathly silence suddenly engulfed the balcony as the Emperor and the custodians just looked at the Captain General weirdly.
The Captain General waited for the reaction of the Emperor so he found it weird that he only looked at him weirdly. Not just him, but his golden battle brothers also looked at him weirdly.
Just then, the Emperor started laugh together with the custodians. Their laugh immediately changed the whole atmosphere to that of a lighter one.
"M-my liege what's funny?" asked Kitten with a confused look to the Emperor as he observed the other custodians who's also laughing uncontrollably.
"Ah yes, yes, what is it? A planet cracking weapon?" said the Emperor as he nearly cried due to his uncontrollable laugh. At this point Kitten realized what's happening as he immediately corrected the possible misunderstanding.
"Yes my liege! Also, it's not that I'm afraid of it, it's just something that must be reported to you!" corrected Kitten with a hurried voice and looked which made the Emperor and the custodians laugh even more.
After sometime the laughing eventually died down replaced by a serious atmosphere. The Emperor stood up and motioned for the Captain General to follow him which Kitten complied with. The other custodians and the silent sisters outside also followed them.
The started to walk towards the direction of the Hall of Leng while the Emperor was contemplating things.
"A planet cracking weapon huh... Let's hear the report." said the Emperor which prompted the Captain General to speak about the infor gathered by a spy of the Imperium.
"Yes my liege, they call it the Death Star and the spy called it "gigantic ineffective lightshow with unrealistic laser sound effects"." reported the Captain General to the Emperor who just nodded his head slightly.He gave photographs to the Emperor and a 3d holographic image of the Death Star.
" Death Star? Hohoho, the size of this Death Star based on this specifications should be around a planetoi-?" the question of the Emperor was cut off short as he remembered something when looking at the materials. That weird happening on mars when he was doing experiments with the modules now floating high above Sol. The Emperor stopped on his tracks which made his whole entourage also stop immediately. The Captain General was quick to ask what's happening.
"My liege, are you okay?
"Ah yes of course, I'm fine." said the Emperor as he restarted to walk which his entourage also did.
As he was walking, he can't help but have his mind think of the contents of that book. That book, as if predicted the future to some extent will surely be of great help to the Imperium if it really contains some part of the future.
The contents of the book said a spherical flying object the size of a planetoid will fire a laser with enough power to destroy a planet in one shot.
Over the course of these past months, the Emperor has been reading of what the available readable books on that dark hall has. There, he managed to know something about another moon like looking building. Then there's also a couple more other things which he wrote on a diary when he exited the space.
He treated the diary as the future memories of him which was sealed due to it probably being true as some sort of beacon that his future self gave him to guide his decisions.
Frankly, the Emperor was at an unrest as he wanted to get to the bottom of the matter on why and how was these memories awere sealed. Only then can he breath a sigh of relief.
"What do you want to do with this my liege?" asked the Captain General to the Emperor who just nodded slightly.
"Let them play with this Death Star, I want to ascertain something. Also, send those kids that I experimented with years ago as envoys if the Rebel Alliance contacts us. Finally, have Vulkan order the creation of a strike plan against that Death Star to disable it. We can't be too complacent, every weapon must be treated as if it can bring doom." said the Emperor to the Captain General who just nodded. The Emperor wanted ascertain if the books of his supposed memories are legitimate in its contents. He thinks that those books must've been destroyed by something or someone he must be wary of because it's his memory of predicting the future successfully. So as to ensure the balance, a higher being or something sealed it or destroyed it. But due to him being the most powerful psyker in existence and ever lived, his power protected some memories only for him to stumble upon.
He originally thought that the moon must've referred to Luna, but that's impossible as Luna doesn't look so smooth, not with the innumerable buildings it has. So, when the report regarding the Death Star surfaced, he immediately thought that this must've been the moon.
He'll surely dive back on that space to conduct more extensive investigations and to finally draw a conclusion.
"Oh yeah, the war is a great testing site. Have those titan and knight pilots shake off the rust and test their new equipment." said the Emperor to the Captain General who just nodded slightly.
Galactic Empire Capital 2 bby...
Sheev Palpatine has been angry for a year now. There's no day since the start of the Imperium invasion where he was calm and collected. He's always angry, having people executed on a whim for even the most foolish reason. As if he has changed completely. He lost his calculating figure as he turned mad in pursuit of victory.
But what made him truly become like this is the failure on the invasion of Naboo. A casualty of more than fifteen million stormtroopers for a failed invasion is totally unacceptable. It made the total number of the stormtroopers dwindle as the clones may be replaceable but it will take a good amount of time to truly make them a stormtrooper.
It will take months or even years of training for a clone to be a fully fledged stormtrooper. But just on that absolute disaster and failure of an invasion they lost fifteen million without gaining any insight other than the Imperium possessing anti force weaponry.
This number of casualty pained Palpatine greatly. He's almost mentally unstable as his plans became more and more daring. Bloodier and bloodier each time. Palpatine wanted to humiliate the Imperium and the Emperor. He has resorted on tactics copying the tactics of the Imperium. He thought that if it works for them, then it must work for him too. This mindset was further enforced by the Imperial strategists claiming it will surely work and/or at least slow the enemy down.
They armed the Imperial soldiers and stormtroopers melee weapons and also ordered them on suicidal charges. That worked for a while but the Imperium just adjusted their tactics by pouring more men than the Empire can manage. Overpowering them in the process.
It basically turned into a cold weapons age of fighting but the Imperium clearly has the advantage due to their extensive collections of melee weapons available.
"Where's Darth Vader?" asked the Emperor to his nearby assistant who answered immediately.
"He's leading an Empire's fleet guarding the Death Star construction site your majesty." answered the assistant in fear while shivering.
"Very well, find those Imperial strategists and have them create plans on how to combat the enemy! The last time they did it was a catastrophe!" ordered Palpatine as the assistant immediately bowed and went to relay the orders.
"Those rebels will also be problematic! I need to eliminate them quickly, war on two fronts will be the worst."
