Capítulo 18: Level 10?!
As the night progressed Ais and Lumas were happily chatting away when Sebas came into the tavern
"My lord, Miss Riveria wanted you back by sundown if you wish to abide by her words I would recommend leaving now."
Ais huffed quietly as a pout took form on her face, Lumas' eyes softened at the sight pushing his plate forward he got out of his chair before heading over to Ais and pulling her seat out. Lumas called out "Ryuu, How much is the bill?"
Ryuu looked up from the book she was reading in the far corner of the room and waved towards Ais waved back and tugged Lumas arm gently "Let's go", Lumas nodded with a smile before walking towards the door quietly and quickly reaching for the door handle, right before he even managed to touch it it open to reveal Sebastian's smiling face "You ready Lord Lumas?"
Lumas sighed before returning to Ais "Yea… Sebastian, how do you do that?" confused Sebastian looked towards Lumas "What do you mean my lord, I simply opened the door" Ais giggled as Susan looked over with a smile "But every time you reach it before me…" Lumas just muttered his words as he went deep into thought
"What's your level Sebastian?" Sebastian stopped walking and looked towards Susan who nodded the moment she did all the surrounding noise silenced, it was oddly deafening until Sebas spoke "My lord, Although I do not doubt the young lady's intentions it is in the end your choice if she hears"
Lumas fell into thought before looking over at Ais seeing her still sitting there resting on his shoulder seemingly not caring, with a soft smile he spoke "Its Okay Sebas"
Sebas looked back towards Susan for a moment before turning back towards Lumas "Level 10 My lord" Ais' body went stiff as Lumas' eyes widened as he looked over at Susan about to ask hers but she just shrugged "How?" Susan giggled "Later young master~"
Lumas just looked off into the distance before speaking "We should return, the sun is nearly gone" Sebastian stuck out his hand and placed it on Lumas' shoulder while Susan grabbed Sebastian's sleeve slowly the surroundings broke down into as new surroundings took its place, Lumas quickly realized where they were Ais was gripping his side tightly Susan eyed her as she did when the surroundings were complete they found themselves in the second floor of the Forge Sebas and Susan were gone remembering the weight in his vest pocket he checked it to find a heavy slip of paper
'Remain here, We will return'
Lightning it aflame Lumas turned towards Ais "Do you want something to drink?" She nodded and Lumas pulled a pitcher of orange juice and 2 cups from his 'Item Box and sat them down on the table filling up both cups and handing one to Ais who said a soft thanks
The two silent sipped away at the orange juice resting on a couch, after a while Sebas and Susan returned with Sebas was carrying a few pieces of paper and a Magic Pen(A/N: Do they even have pens?) Sebas began looking back and forth from Susan and the paper Quickly writing various things down

"She had long past Level 10, I don't know if she broke through some limit or something else"
Lumas froze as Ais just sat there in silence "Who would win between you two?" Susan giggled as she averted her eyes Sebas spoke with a hint of pride
"My lord, Susan would win 100% of the time no matter what I do she is always one step ahead of me… The moment an opponent stands across from her there is no chance for them unless they can overpower her"
Lumas sighed and Sebastian handed him another paper speaking as he did "My status might be a little different, I just recently reached Level 10 however my stats didn't reset… They used to but since you reached level two I felt a change in my Falna"

Ais spoke out as she looked at Sebastian's stats "I thought you were human before why does this say 'Dragon-Kin"
Sebastian looked at her for a second before speaking "Just like Susan gained humanity I gained something as well, there were many different monster parts included into the ritual… One of those was a Dragon's heart still full of heart blood, Somehow it merged with me during the process"
Ais stared at Sebastian but Lumas looked towards Susan "Susan, would you spar with me… I want to improve without needing the dungeon"
The smile on Susan's face became indescribable, Lumas felt a chill go down his spine "Of course young master, However it is much too late for such things shall we return to the manor my lord?"
Lumas nodded as he stood up reaching his hand out towards Ais, with a smile she took his hand and they retreated to the manor

A month has passed and Lumas understood how ridiculous Susan truly is, every move he makes Susan perfectly counters before he could even finish it… He even got to see her 'Sword Art' which seemed more elegant than dangerous but the welts covering his whole body begs to differ, Susan explained that she uses 'Charm' to distract her opponent making the sword seemingly disappear from their vision
Lumas' training has been kicked up a notch there's only 2 months till the expedition and he can't help but feel like he isn't strong enough but while there are many things he could do to fix it, there are still things he has to do
Looking down at the oversized knife in his head, Riveria told him the emblem is from the Freya Familia so his plan for today is to return the knife and then meet with Hephaestus to further his blacksmithing, He was only taking Susan with him today Sebastian was staying with Ais to watch over her… Well it's more like spar with her until she is too tired to continue, Sebastian's one of the only people able to tank Ais' hits head on and come out alive not that he does
"Young Master, we are here" Hearing Susan's words Lumas pulled himself from his thoughts as he looked at the large gate in front of him the same emblem that marked the knife was on the gate
"What's your business with the Freya Familia?" From behind the gate a deep childish voice rung out, Lumas saw that it was a Cat-Kin with a broadsword nearly twice his size resting on his shoulder
"I would like to return an item I found in the dungeon" The Cat-Kin was confused, who returns something found in the dungeon "I'll take it and make sure it returns to its owner"
Lumas handed the oversized knife through the gate to the Cat-Kin who took it giving a short thanks, Their next destination… the 5th floor of the Tower of Babel, As they walked through the streets they heard various murmurs some people were glaring at Lumas cursing under their breath but Lumas pains them no mind why should he care what these people have to say? Susan kept an eye on the surroundings making sure nobody did something they would instantly regret
It didn't take long for them to reach the tower that pierces the clouds making their way through Hephaestus' shops the reach an ornate staircase leading up to a single office blocking the top of the staircase were two burly looking men
"There are no shops here, Please head back down the steps" one of the men spoke as he eyed Susan who said "We've come to see Hephaestus, if you wish to verify my words you can call for Tsubaki Collbrande"
One of the men nodded while the other disappeared into the office only to come out a few moments later "Hephaestus is waiting for you"
Lumas gave a thanks as he went into the office to find Hephaestus sitting behind a desk, Behind her on the wall was a longsword made purely from Emperium there was a series of runes and channels running through the blade Lumas' eyes were stuck on the blade as he tried to understand the runes
"Hephaestus Lumas, I'll be waiting outside the door" with a bow Susan left leaving only Hephaestus and Lumas in the room "May I hold that sword?"
Hephaestus chuckled "So you can see its aspects? Here" Taking the sword she handed it to Lumas

Lumas was dumbfounded, a sword that could grow with its user… He looked at Shadowsteel on his hip, If he could put Gluttony and Growth on the blade he wouldn't need to forge another, it could potentially become the best sword in Oriaro…"Hephaestus, Will you teach me how to make growth weapons?"
Hephaestus' eyes dimmed "I don't think it will be possible, even before enchanting was lost only gods could produce growth weapons… The mana needed to bless a sword with the aspect can't be found normally" her words slowed as she remembered the flame Lumas hosts "Actually let's find out"
Hephaestus led him to a bookshelf and pulled a book causing the wall to move revealing a forge, and a flame… It was a deep orange with hints of red the moment he saw the flame something is his body began to writhe trying to exist his body he felt his mana become erratic, closing his eyes he slammed his Will onto his mana freezing it in place "Sorry, I don't know what happened"
Hephaestus didn't mind and just waved off Lumas' words "It would be more suspicious if nothing happened, You have an Ungodly item within you and you are standing in front of a Divine item, There are some things I'd like to try before we move into Growth type weapons"
Sticking her finger out a line of the divine flame stretched to her finger before separating she motioned for Lumas to do the same an a flame lit above his finger "Stick out your other finger and try to contain the divine flame above it, You are a vessel for divine/ungodly items from my past experiences people like you have no limit to how many you can carry"

A certain god watched as the divine flame floated towards Lumas, he began to sweat he knew that a battle was about to ensue and would probably be forced to help but currently there was nothing he could do pulling up Lumas' status he muttered
"He only has one chance… if he can't survive the flames will devour his soul during the fight for superiority"
