It all began ten years ago.

My parents and I live in a typical home made of brick and wood. Not grand. Not tiny. Just fit for a family of four. Its wide front yard filled with different kinds of flowers made it special. Roses, orchids, and gardenias. Smelling their fragrance every morning to ask how their sleep was my favorite routine. My mother told me, talking to plants helps them grow fast and beautiful. I even gave them names so I could talk to them individually.

My mother planted each one of them herself with her nourishing hands. A famous botanist, Aiuchi Yasui, that's my mom. Studying different kinds of plants was her life's passion and I dreamed of being like her someday.

While my father, a mechanical engineer, taught me a lot about machines. We would build toy robots with my older brother to play with. My parents were both intelligent so you can see where I got my big brains from.
