Capítulo 47: Drive through

"Are you alright, Youngjae?"

Soojin asked after her boyfriend was allowed to come out of cell. The same grey suit he wore still look neat but the dark circles on his eyes gave away the dire condition he was under inside the jail. 

He was given a 24 hours detention by Detective U Haewon. In addition to replacing the mobile phone, he broke. And though she wanted to argue how it felt illegal for the officer to give a harsh punishment, the scene Youngjae caused was still unnecessary for her.

"I'm fine. It was only a 24-hour stay. What's hard is thinking about you and not being able to check if you are okay."

Youngjae mumbled with his eyes steadily gazing at her face. The modest curl on her lips was an assurance that he was not harmed while being incarcerated.

"Are you hungry? We didn't get to have dinner last night. Did you get to eat anything inside?"
