Capítulo 44: Girlfriend

"ASSHOLE!"

Detective U shouted and ran towards the broken pieces of her phone on the ground. One by one she picked every piece of it while the two of them stood staring at each other. 

She was shocked at how Youngjae demanded her to stop working on the case his ex-girlfriend was involved in. Though she knew how dangerous it could be, she wanted to help him find justice from Ryo Sun Ah's death. 

And instead of thanking her for her lending a hand, he was furious and ordered her to stop.

"Why did you do that?"

She asked, confused by his actions. From his eyes, she saw the depth of trauma from hearing the death of his former lover and she understood that his behaviour could be erratic because of the shocking news.

"Because I'm afraid they will hurt you too like the way they did to me."

"What do you mean?"

"Ryo Sun Ah's father was the one who cut my foot."
