They have a chocolate fountain. A Chocolate FOUNTAIN. A fountain of CHOCOLATE. Do you hear me, Opal?!!?!! A fountain whose sole purpose is to be flooded with arguably THE most delicious substance in the world.

Juliet refocused her attention on the crowds of finely dressed people around her. Once she had entered the Long Mansion she had found herself secluded in a corner with a glass of champagne. She tried to play this off as being cool and mysterious. It wasn't that hard because Maria Zhang was HOT. Seriously the other day, Juliet just stared at herself naked in the mirror for like 10 minutes. And Mr. Manager even pulled some strings and got her a designer dress, which she could wear for free under the condition that she return it unharmed.
Her corner just happened to place her in direct view of the long dining table. That was filled with luxurious dishes and an incredibly large 5 tier Birthday cake covered in white buttercream frosting and small, delicate pink flowers. The decorations matched the dress of a particularly lovely girl that was standing shyly next to an older couple. She was pretty, there was no doubt about it. But Juliet found herself slightly underwhelmed.
This was the Female Lead? Impossible! Look at how she cowers behind her parents! Look at the way she takes all the backhanded compliments and snarky remarks made by her guests. Where was her spunk? Where was the strong will and fiery temper that all Female Leads seemed to possess?! Even as an outside observer, Juliet could see this girl was nothing but a doormat. She was the type to get repeatedly stepped on and yet still readily forgive everyone who would hurt her.
Hey Opal, the FL seems like a complete pushover. I really don't see her as the time to get super vengeful and besides that, the Male Lead has been stuck in his own corner all night. He hasn't even spared her a glance! How do these completely incompatible people even get together!?!

The female lead gets into a car accident that same day and dies. She is then replaced with an Elite Hacker, Assasin, Spy that gets transmigrated into the Female Leads body.'

Unfortunately Xiang Long still attempts to bully the Female Lead, who is no longer such a doormat and who will certainly bite back. Due to her less than friendly relationship with the Female Lead and history of vicious scheming the couple has her killed, under the assumption that it was Xiang Long that arranged for the Female Lead to get into the car accident.'

The guests all quite down and looked to the bottom of the grande stair case, where Mr. Long was standing. Next to him was his wife and another woman who looked very smug, like she was a child who had taken the entire bowl of Halloween Candy instead of 'just one'.
Opal: Is this gluttonas host still thinking about food (°ㅂ° ╬)
"Tonight we celebrate the Birthday of our precious daughter, Fan Long. Two years ago, we had no idea how much joy our Little Fan would bring to us. She has made us so incredibly happy and we are so thankful that we were able to find eachother. Now I am pleased to announce, that Fan Long and Jin Lian are engaged!"
He paused a moment to let the crowd settle down, before continuing "Of course they are both young and the marragie will not be made offical until they are both ready to settle down. Never the less this arrangment-"

1. Opal uses they/them pronounce (Idk if you caught on to that but please respect their pronounces in the comments)
2. I re-wrote/edited some stuff in the previous chapters, the most change happened to 1:2, so I would suggest re-reading the beginning of that chapter
