And so he sent me off, waiting for me to exit the classroom before heading to where he was awaited for as I bid him a silent farewell from the opposite side of the classroom door. I honestly wanted him to see me off, but I knew it was risky given the eyes and ears 'father' had within the school.

Once entering the car however, there was a different story altogether. 

"Looks like this car is back in commission again." I made a snarky remark, as I weighed between our strained relationship from earlier and how I was indebted to him for playing along. And well, slightly because I was still envious with how readily Cain trusted him when he supposedly was the possessive one.

Dan, on the other hand, had a rather grim expression on his face. Seeing his reflection in the rearview mirror, I could only feel a stab of guilt from the fact that I messed up the interior of the car and made him lie to law enforcers.
