Capítulo 147: Lies and deception

"Uncle Raf, where is Sabrina?" Xavier shouted over the noise as he ran towards him and Baxter. He kept looking at his back as if Sabrina would magically appear behind him.

"She sends her wishes but she could not attend your birthday party today." He made up an excuse so that Xavier would stop asking questions. 

He could see the disappointment in his nephew's face. He had grown attached to Sabrina even before they became a couple. So, it was only natural that he would be saddened by her absence. 

He had to become used to it, he thought, because he had no plan to get back with her. He had to break up with her soon. He knew she already arrived yesterday from the many messages she had left him. But he needed time to get over her before he could face her.

"Am I not important to her? Does she not love me anymore?" Xavier pouted as he bent down to pat Baxter on the head.
