Eevee wiggles around and touches the Pokéball with its nose. A flash of red light pours out over Eevee. The Pokéball twitches in my hand once twice before it dings. I successfully caught Eevee!
Wow step one done catch Eevee. Now to check the Pokédex. I want to make sure I still have the nickname system. So that I can understand what my Pokémon say to me.
I lift the red and white service to my face. It's way older than the Rotom phone I was used to. I click the button on its side. The screen lights up white then to an information page.
Huh, looks like I need to input my information on here before it works. I guess not everyone can it like Ash. Having a Pokédex without needing to fill out information.
While I walk back to the house, I input my information. It asks for my gender then age. Which is female and age ten. I still can't believe I'm ten again for the third time. Then it asks for my name which is Jasper. Finally, it asks to scan my Pokémon. I scan Eevee's Pokémon.
It gives me Eevee's stats. It being level one. Male and a having a Jolly nature. Perfect nature for an Eevee. The moves the knowns are Growl and Tackle. Good to know he has moves and I won't have to train him right away. Also, that I won't be forced to stay in Pallet before he learns an offensive move. After all it is dangerous to travel without a Pokémon that can fight.
Then it updates asking me if I want to install the Nick Name System. Of course, I'm going to download that! It brightens and tells me I can use the system on Eevee.
Right outside the house I release Eevee from its Pokémon. Eevee shakes it fur and lets out a little," Vee." Then it scampers up to me pawing at my leg.
I chuckle picking it up into my arms," Okay Eevee before we go on our journey I want to give you a name." I look it over seeing the patterns on its fur. " What about Charm."
Eevee shakes its head no.
"Bell"
Another no from Eevee.
"Miricle."
Eevee looked really offended by that name. Well what kind of name should I give Eevee. From I remember Eevee is male and the names I choose are more female. I want Eevee's name to mean something like luck or good luck. Wait why don't I just name him Lucky!
I look down thinking carefully." Lucky because you will be my lucky charm." A lucky charm that will help me on my journey. Help me with the loneliness I feel every day.
Eevee yips happily. Well, I mean Lucky yips happily. I carry Lucky into the house to grab my stuff. Uncle isn't here he must have left earlier. On my way upstairs I look into the mirror.
I see I'm wearing a white shirt and green shorts. I guess this is what I'm going to wear on my journey. Because to be a Pokémon Trainer part of it is branding. Certain clothes that will become as known as you will one day. That's why Ash had a signature hat. Leon had his whole get up and I have this combo of clothes. The only thing missing is a jacket.
I go inside into my bedroom. On my bed I see a red and white jacket with a green L on the back. It reminds me of Ash's hat from the anime. Also, my old jacket I had in Galar. I put Lucky down on the ground.
I put on the jacket and tie up my hair into a ponytail. I grab my backpack with all my supplies and head off to Viridian Forest. Lucky following in my arms.
