Capítulo 119: Rhea is not a simple wife
"So these are the protectors of the Earth. Seems like the gods have downgraded since the last time." Getting up he then looked at Athena. "Metis has ask for our assistance and we will owe this one kindness. After that we will return."
"Understand we have no intention of changing our stance. And remember though we are helping don't think twice as we can kill you anytime we like." Pallas said. Aura then nodded to agree as she had nothing to say.
"Its...a pleasure…" Scared and bewildered she wonder how Metis got these people to join them they were far dangerous than what they seem to be.
"Right now we are keeping Echidna in constant defense as she seems to be feeling the effects of the flame that Hera gave. It seems to be working quite well as she has now retreated to the mountains." Pallas said as behind her was Aura who has now been using a combination of the flame and wind to imprision Enchidna. Though at first she was finding the attack rather pointless. However the flame started to damage her as she was feeling as though she was poisoned from the fire. Her skin was starting to wither slowly despite her healing. Seeing this she had no choice to send her two gods to attack. However with Pallas help as he suppress those as they would be attack the moment they appeared. Seeing that the two gods protecting couldn't do anything but use divine barrier to protect her. This left her in the defensive the entire time.
"Good we are slowly being able to apply more pressure. Without her being able to lead they are very mindless." Athena said as she was had slowly been able to gain back their territory. At first all the regions were being destroyed one by one. For a month the gods could only just stall them as they had no way of countering them. But with the help of the titans and Hera's fire, they were able to halt the advance in every direction. Not to mention the GDF forces that had to be in hiding can finally come out.
"How about the dragons and scylla that are in the air have they been able to leave the area." Athena asked as they had no way of stopping even with their air fleet. However for Ielantos it was a breeze as he was shooting all of them down as he warded then back to make sure that they wer contained. Artemis and Helen were feeling disgraced as he was not only swifter than them, he was also for powerful. He just created daggers and was able to shoot them further than them. All they really did was spectate as they weren't able to do anything to them at all.
"They are contained." Ielantos said as he summed it up rather easily.
"What about you Crius how are you doing so far." While setting the barrier up he then stood in front of the main headquarters as he was defending it.
"Hmph giving me the easy task of defending this garabge is a waste of talent." Crius was not happy about it but there was a reason as to why.
"Can't be helped as lately something has been slowly reaching it." Seeing the eruption of volcanoes they slowly creeped up as more started to move as they were coming closer to the headquarters. Though Typhon should have been sleeping but for some reason he had the land move closer unconsciouly.
"Hmph that guy is coming let's see how strong he actually is." Crius said confidently as he then place four corners just like Cronus once did. He knew it as well as he used for things as activation point to do something as to restrain him. Within the moment he used it to stop its movements. However….
"How long will it last…?" Ielantos said as he know that it was impossible to keep him hold up forever. There was no way to have that thing stop as he was on the same level as Mencilus so if he couldn't stop him, then Crius wasn't able to as well.
"I can hold him for a few months. At that do something quickly as he will be able to break free." Crius said. Hearing that all of them were able to feel relieve for now however hearing that there was only a few months left was concerning. They have been able to enjoy the success however as they kept fighting something was growing in power. Typhon wasn't just trying to get rid of Mencilus but at the same time he was getting stronger and stronger. The power beyond what they had ever felt before. This was rather concerning as dealing with meancilus was easy however dealing with Typhon was an impossible at this point.
"I see then Pallas you and Hephastus have you guys created the weapon that will be able to destroy him." pallas then look up as they saw what was being created it was in space as a large cannon like structure was be created. It was such a large scale as it was making a satellite look like an ant compare to it. On that thing was Apollo who was in there unhappy. He using his ability focus all the energy of the sun he could acquire and constantly focus it into this device. As he was focusing on that device, Hephastus was fusing the flame that Hera give and mixed it with Apollos power. It was a massive project as they hope this was the way to stop Typhon.
"Don't worry a few months should be enough." reassuring everyone all of them felt confident with their preparations. However this then raise a question that everyone has been wondering.
"By the way Neo and Nova has been none existent for some time. Where have they been?" Artemis said. Though they know Neo was wounded but why or how is still beyond them. They all look to Athena who everyone knew was close to them.
"I haven't got word of them yet as they have been missing for quite some time. I just know Metis is taking care of her. And i think Rhea is taking care of her." This then saw three of the titans to go and look at Athena in surprise. "What did I say something wrong?"
"Yes because you said Rhea of all person was taking care of someone other then Cronus?" This then slip out fo Athena's mouth as she shouldn't have said that. Yet it was too late to take her words back. She might have revealed who Neo actually was. But then someone said something.
"I see no wonder why this Neo was so formidable. He was taught by her of all people." Pallas said.
"Yes and if he was trained by Rhea with the help of Metis then it could be said why he is the back bone of your GDF army." Crius said.
"Rhea is too strong." This then amazed Athena at how they came with that idea. But then again this was the time to find out more about Rhea and Cronus relationship and what was Rhea.
"Wait is Rhea that strong? Athena said as the TItans then look at her puzzled?"
"Do you really not know?" Looking at each other, the Titan then realize why they were so lacking in skill. Even Athena who recently realize about Rhea still didn't know too much about her at all. Looking at the younger gods, the Titans thought it wouldn't be their best interest to tell them about Rheas as she was that much of a threat to them. On the otherhand it was important to have Rhea as she was an important asset to this fight. "Rhea…..how do you say...she isn't the strongest Titan out of all of us…..in terms of energy her amounts not to half of ours." Ares and Achilles was then finding it rather unimpressed as they were starting to lose interest. The next thing then caught their attention was the next words. "But when it comes to everything else she is far superior to us in every way."
"What???" Ares and Achilles said at the same time in shock. Then Pallas continued as Crius was having a hard time recalling that experience. Well all the titans were seeming recalling the nightmare from remembering anything about Rhea. Even Lelantos who usually had an emotionless face was showing a rather distressed face.
"She may not have the energy to back it up. But she was a monster when it came to the battlefield. Even us three together wouldn't be able to take her on. The only one that was able to handle her was Cronus. If not we would be torture to death. If we step out of bounds once we would attack by her without a moment notice." Pallas then stopped talking as he remember the times that she attack him like an assassin just because he was causing too much noise. "Cronus was really key to stopping her. Otherwise the punishment period would be a year worth of beating." Even Lelantos was horrified by that fact as he was holding his throat. Which then gave Athena something to fear as well as she recalled be destroyed by Rhea as well. She thought two weeks was painful. To have to suffer a year would be worse. Athena then recalled how tortuous Nyx would be as well as she seem to enjoy torturing people as of late….no she always was into it actually. But for Rhea, Athena doesn't know is she likes it or just does it because she thinks this is the best way to discipline people.
"So does that mean Cronus would fight Rhea if she got out of hand?" Thinking there were fights back in the day he was rather curious about what happened. He now was wishing he was born earlier to experience it all. Disappointment soon swept in rather fast as he got the rather uneventful answer. Pallas had a rather envious facial expression as he wish he was in Cronus shoes.
"Rhea would not even fight whenever she saw Cronus. In fact the moment, she would lose her fighting instinct and not think much of it. That guy seem to have the benefit of never having to fight against her." Attesting to that Athena realise that everytime Rhea was spending time with Cronus, Rhea has always been that way. Whenever she thinks or see Cronus she would stop and show that nice side of her. It sometimes sicking Athena thought.
"I thought that she would challenge Cronus for the throne or something." Bored with the explanation he didn't seem to want to pursue that any more. "Anyway is there a way I get get a bout from her. I wanna see how strong she is." However everyone then look at Ares in surprise.
"Do you not understand what we said….?" Crius said.
"Yeah she strong so I should go fight her. Isn't that the most obvious thing that I should do?"
"Are you not scared?"
"No Not really. I'm rather fired up to be exact!!!!" Ares was already bursting with energy as he wanted fight right this instant. Stopping him though was Athena who first didn't want that to happen.
"I wouldn't recommend doing that right now. Especially when we are fighting right now." Calming Ares down, he was ab;e to
"Fine….I will fight with her afterwards. Anyways shouldn't we get her to help. It would help increase our fighting chance." Ares said.
"I agree as well. Even though I haven't seen her fight I believe she would help." Apollo suggested. However a women then came interrupting as she made it rather simple.
"Unfortunately that women has no interest in fighting in wars unless he is involved." Appearing in the conversation, Metis flat out refuse. But this didn't really surprise the Titans at all as they already knew the response to begin with."
"Indeed if it wasn't for Cronus she wouldn't have done anything back in the day. Unless it was for her kids she wouldn't have done anything." Crius said.
"Yes and she rarely participates in any wars to begin with. She really hate dealing with those things." Pallas injected.
"She has no interest." Lelantos said.
"Yep." Metis delightfully said as she then look at Athena. "Well I want you people to go and eliminate Enchidna." Everyone was then puzzled.
"Should we capture her. Getting her might stop Typhon. She is an important asset to us. And you said that originally that we need her to see if we can go and eliminate Typhon." Athena reasoned. However Metis didn't seem to care at all.
"Yes originally I was going to want you guys to go and capture her. However thinking about it for awhile, I realize something…" Everyone then went to go and listen as they thought Metis had information she willing to share. "But realizing if after seeing all the fights. She is rather useless."
"What?????" Everyone said as that was it? Metis then made it clear again.
"That women was just Typhon who suffered because of Hera. But was the inferior form of Typhon. After doing my research I realize that she was turned that way because Zeus was trying to find a new women besides me. Who would have thought that Enchidna was that women." Smirking she was then smiling in how amusing it was all turning out because Hera was simply jealous. "Anyways right now she has no use. Not to mention the faster we get rid of her the faster we all can focus on Typhon. Right now we have no time for dealing with other things." Everyone was then thinking for a moment before agreeing at the end. "Good now with time running I need to step it up as I need to quickly find a way to convince him. Anyways bye." Metis then disappeared.
"You know I really am starting to find her really bossy as of late." Annoyed Achilles wished Metis was more lax.
"Well we have to follow her orders. Its not like we have the time to talk like this."
"That is true especially when there is a threat starting to become a bigger problem by the minute." Everyone then look as the volcano was still getting bigger even when it has stopped. So far things has become very dire. There was no telling how strong he was getting or what he would be when finally got out. Everyone was subconsciously thanking Mencilus for being able to keep him in check for so long.
