"It's going to be alright. My parents aren't strict. They're easy going. I know they will like you."

"But I'm scared. Should I buy some presents for them?"

"There's no need. You're the best present to them as I, their son, finally got a real girlfriend. My mom always complained that I won't get her a daughter-in-law. Now, she's happy."

"What about Mr Wang. It was Mr Wang recruited me to be your assistant. Will he think that I'm a gold digger or something?"

Wang Jiasi laughed out loud by her worries.

"What are you thinking? My father is strict but he wasn't someone unreasonable. Don't worry. He's going to be satisfied with you. Trust me."

"Okay."

"Well then. Shall we go?"

Ye Ruyi nodded and prepared herself to meet her future mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Wang Jiasi's chauffeur was waiting for them and when he saw them. He greeted them and helped put the luggage inside the car.

Along the way, Ye Ruyi had jitters. Her palm was sweating.

This was what Wang Jiasi was feeling when he met her grandfather. And now, it was her turn.

Soon after, they arrived at Wang mansion.

"Young Master, welcome back. Welcome, Miss."

The butler of the Wang mansion came to greet them as soon as they arrived.

Wang Jiasi nodded and then held Ye Ruyi's hand and went inside the mansion while the butler instructed the servant to take their luggage.

Ye Ruyi wanted to stop them from taking her luggage since she's not living here but the butler said the car need to have maintenance.

Okay. It was weird but she didn't refute.

Mother Wang was having her afternoon tea in the living room. When the butler informed of their arrival, she stood up and walked up to them.

When she saw the girl beside her son, she sized her up.

She's quite a beauty in her first impression.

"Mom. We're back."

"Hello, auntie."

Mother Wang enthusiastically welcomed them.

"Welcome dear. Come. Chat with me."

Mother Wang held Ye Ruyi's hand and led her to the living room and chatted with her. She left her son there standing.

As soon as his mother took Ye Ruyi away from him, he felt gloomy. Did his mother even see him?

"Mom, where's Dad?"

Only when Wang Jiasi asked about Father Wang then Mother Wang turned her head and answered him.

"Your father is in the study. Go and find him. He's waiting for you."

Wang Jiasi speechless nodded and went upstairs to find his father.

After that, Mother Wang ignored Wang Jiasi and continued to chat with Ye Ruyi. Ye Ruyi was asked a lot of questions regarding her relationship with Wang Jiasi and her background.

She could only smiled and answered her questions one by one.

Mother Wang was really friendly and treated her too passionately. She was then gradually relax upon Mother Wang's treatment towards her.

"I'm finally glad that my son got a girlfriend. He's already near thirty years old and don't even have a girlfriend before. I was anxious. When will I be able to hug my grandchildren? When he finally have a girlfriend, I was relieved. Thank you for loving my son. If my son treated you badly, auntie will help you beat him."

"Jiasi treated very well. Don't worry, auntie. If he ever treated me badly, I will tell you."
