Capítulo 38: Embarcadero

I had to put my priorities in order. The confirmation of the detective’s death must take precedence before I could take action on the other issues surrounding it. If indeed he was dead, finding who was responsible for cutting him down should be next on my list. After Dordo’s hint that he wasn’t the one responsible for the killing, I obligingly accepted that it was the truth. I had my doubts and suspicions but for the meantime that I could not find evidence to connect the Shadow to it—except for that brief moment when I believed it was his back that I saw—I had to belie my own assumption on the Shadow’s guilt. I had to lay my suspicion aside.
