Capítulo 22: Aftermath

I was almost congratulating myself with my performance when the investigator threw a glance of suspicion at me. “I know both of them, they are a tandem, so—” I felt like I was doused with cold water. So it doesn’t make sense; that would have been the entirety of his words when he completed it.

At the police station, after the police took my finger prints and my mug shot, and also after I signed the paper containing my statement, the investigator led me out of the investigation room and offered to buy me a coffee. He did not talk much while both of us sipped from our cups. I was little edgy by the behavior he was showing. He seemed to be sharply calculating me before he could say something what was on his mind.
