Capítulo 6: No way out

The game of hide-and-seek was not as I thought, I think I've been playing it with shadows for two days, but I can't say for sure because it's always dark here, I don't know when it's morning or when last night or if something like this ever happens in this strange world, I have insomnia and cold sweat doesn't stop draining down my back, I feel like I won't be able to go through this, but I don't know exactly how to win either. I don't want to continue this game anymore, but I can't let them find me either because that would only ensure my death and I can't give up.

Sometimes I see Mom hiding like me, only she doesn't talk and disappears after a few seconds of seeing her, maybe she's not quite real and she's just hallucinating, but I feel like she leaves me alone in the empty rooms where the shadows are constantly hanging out. I just want someone to help me who I really am, I'm so afraid of falling asleep and the shadows finding me.

What I haven't understood yet is Who was the person who closed the door, would you know from the beginning, what did I do to deserve something like that? I just remember hearing a voice, but I can't tell what it was, maybe I would have told my parents about the shadow, just maybe all this wouldn't have happened and I'd still be in my house or somewhere else, but safe. I'm starting to have symptoms of fever; my stomach makes noises from lack of food and dizziness is becoming more constant as are chills. Just as I was about to lose consciousness and give up on a thin, blond-haired young woman hid behind a few boxes, while covering her mouth just like me, she knew exactly what that meant.

—He signs with his hands.

—Turn the blonde girl over.

A shadow passed near the aisle, he stopped for an instant trying to hear something abnormal and then continued on his way.

—Whispers —who are you? —Leo asks curiously.

—Whispers —Casey called me, "did they catch you, too? —The girl responds.

—Whispers —he did have been trapped here for two days —he falls to the ground.

I was walking in a park near my house around 3:00AM, I left home because my mom came drunk again and gets unbearable when she's drunk. There was no one in the park, but I didn't worry that this way I could clear my mind for a while and stop thinking about everything, I kept walking aimlessly when I observed a shadow that caught my attention, my curiosity beat me and I followed it near some trees.

—Do you want to play?", I know a lot of games —the shadow asks.

—Who are you? —Casey asks.

—A being who wants to have fun and you seem worried, why don't you come with me? —The shadow says insistently.

—Why should I come with you? —Casey asks.

—Because you don't have a choice anymore, or where to go, isn't it better than nothing? —The shadow says brazenly.

After that I showed up in that dark house where I have to stay hidden all the time, they didn't tell me how the game ends and I've already tried to escape, but I can't get out of here because there's no way out, I just know that if I get caught, I'll end up just like the others in the red room and even though my life wasn't the best, I'm not going to leave her so easily. I was surprised to find someone in the same situation as me, but I was more surprised that this is a small child, who has been longer than me and is very weak, it seems that he has not eaten or slept anything.

When he passed out, I changed his room and gave him some water that he was still carrying with me, but this would not be enough since the child had a very high fever and he kept shaking, he was afraid that he would convulse because I could not take care of him as he deserves, he would not let him die like this.
