I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She cried. While it sounded as though she was apologizing for leaving him as soon as he was born, he knew there was something else to it. He hugged them.
"It doesn't matter what happened in the past and why it happened. It's in the past." He patted her back. If she were to blame herself for anything, she would end up being stuck in her own past with no way to move on.
"You are right." She brought her son to her chest and hugged him tightly. Ylvia soon brought her soup to eat and placed it on the table at the side. She then reached over to take Destrian so Darius would feed her, but the boy broke into wails as soon as he was out of his mother's arms.
Delaney was anxious but Ylvia rocked him gently in her arms. "It's okay, mama will take you back once she's done eating. Let's find something to eat too, shall we?"
When she left with the boy cooing, Delaney was impressed. "She does know how to calm down the little demon."
