"Grandfather, look who's here!" Delaney yelled excitedly as they entered Archer's castle.
He couldn't help observing how happy she looked. She was carefree and active like a young woman with no rules to follow, unlike the princess she was before, whose every move had to be graceful. He observed that she hadn't had any problems skipping to the other side of the river instead of using the bridge because apparently, she hated the bloody river and was scared the bridge might break while she crossed it. However, one thing had not changed. She still loved carrying swords everywhere and wouldn't hesitate to use them if anyone threatened the lives of the people she cared about.
"Grandfather?" She called out again when Archer didn't say a word. Meanwhile, she pointed their joined hands forward. "I'll show you to my room, then."
He chuckled at her underlying meaning. "Okay."
