On her way to her room, Delaney stopped in her tracks when she heard what Darius said to Felix. She had the urge to turn back and give him a piece of her mind but when she thought about it, it was no use. He wouldn't change his mind if she expressed her anger and besides, it was better if she pretended to be falling into his trap. This way, she would learn just what he was planning to do.

Although that was what she thought, fury coursed through her veins and she was more pained than she had ever been.

Here she was, thinking she had finally found someone who actually appreciated her, only for it to turn out to be one of her naive fantasies.

She entered her room angrily and almost bumped into Sianna who she had not noticed organizing her jewelry.
