Adam Begala - Electric Light POV
Adam looked at his team- everyone had just gone through a bunch of questions about what they wanted to learn and know, which was a bunch of personal questions that were answered privately with the Empress due to the requests of the team. After such questions, they returned to the dining room, where Adam was with the Emperor and Captain Alamos too -before turning to look at the Empress and Emperor: "So... Can I show everyone around?" He was kinda hopeful that the Empress would allow him to show off to his friends- he has told them a few anecdotes about Beastialis and about its people, but he hasn't shown them. And like people always say: Seeing is believing. "I promise I'll just take them around Menagerie Island! I'll take them to the Halls of Ptah, the House of Hathor, maybe take them to see the Skyfall Plaza, and show them around the Central Region? There's a few places I'd like to show them and-"
"Kid, it's okay-" the Empress chuckled, placing a hand on his shoulder as he smiled: "-you can show them around. Don't expose any secrets, and you're good."
"...what would you categorize as quote on quote, secret?" Adam had to think for a few seconds- there were so many things that the Empress didn't want to show the world, which was understandable, but was he allowed to show his team around? "Like, can I answer their weird questions- Like, you know, about the thngs that they see around?"
"...well, yeah, you can.."
And that's how we got here!
Walking down the rather busy street, Adam smiled brightly. He waved a hand at a large crocodile that walked past his group, high-fived one of his many classmates from the Learning Palace of Thoth, and even got a gift from a fairy. His Flumph flew beside him doing these soft purring sounds every once in a while as they passed by other Flumphs in the streets following other people. "Welcome to Beastialis!" Adam stretched out his arms as they stepped over this long stone bridge, beneath them an artificial river carved through the rock flowed, where some of the more aquatic residents of the floating city swam in. "This is the Central Plaza, and that is Isis Fountain." Adam decided to act as a tour guide for his team, since he was allowed by the Empress to show his friends around! The veiled statue held the water jugs in her hand, the water flowed through her and into the constantly flowing artificial rivers of Beastialis, ultimately flowing back to the statue and continuing their cycle through the power of magic! "Cool right? That was the very first magical building that the Empress created in the name of the Gods of Beastialis."
"Woah." Lifting one eyebrow, Robin blinked: "Is that a walking giant tree?"
"Oh, that's a Treant!" Adam chuckled, since this was common knowledge in Beastialis, he saw no real harm in sharing: "They're like, Awakened Trees, different species of trees create different Treants... That one is a Willow Treant! He goes by the name William, and he teaches Environmentally Friendly Architecture in the Halls of Ptah for whoever wants to learn." He waved his hand to the giant tree humanoid, who had his posse of friends slash students who were in the Central Plaze to watch the statue of Isis in the Isis Fountain Park to get a glimpse of inspiration. "The statue has been blessed by both Ptah and the Muses to give inspiration to those who look at it. That's why there's so many artists around here-" And as everyone looked around, indeed, the majority of people here were artists working on their art.
"...cat boy?" Superboy looked down at one of the many children around Beastialis, this one was a Felinae, a small kitten boy that was sleeping by the bench, under the warm sun. "Was he left here?" Looking at the kid, Superboy wondered for a moment if his parent left him behind.
"Oh, that's Jeremy!" Adam immediately recognized the tom cat boy. Poking him, Adam said: "Hey, Jeremy!" The boy stirred around, grumbling and making activation sounds a cat would make whenever you touch them, you know, those mrrp and prrr? sounds that they make: "Jeremy! Did Kayt leave you behind again? Where even is that girl-" He was about to pick up the cat boy when he suddenly felt a presence sharply approaching him from behind and flying towards him, going to land right on his back! Adam prepared himself for the impact, making sure to not lash out like he was trained to do whenever something approaches at great speeds-
"Adam!" Jumping on his back just as he predicted, was the one and only sister of Jeremy, the little Kayt. Unlike her brother, Kayt was a Calico variant of the Homo Beastialis Felinae, and her tricolor fur was fluffy and smooth as she climbed Adam's back with great and overwhelming enthusiasm, after all, it's been a long while since brother Adam has come to play with them! "You're here!" With a cacophony of giggles and laughs that woke her brother up, Kayt began purring louder than a car engine.
"Hi Kayt!" Adam chuckled, picking up the lazy small boy cat who just stretched over in his arms before promptly falling asleep again after being woken up by his sister. Jeremy had always been like this ever since he was born 5 years ago, and his sister was way more energetic and playful than him: "We found your brother... Did you leave him behind again? I told you not to leave your brother behind when he lies down to take a nap." Huffing, Adam turned to the group- he noticed then that the two girls (Artemis and M'gaan) were looking at the kids with stars in their eyes, and who could blame them? They're adorable! "Hey, Megan, can you hold him for me?" Without hesitation, he offered Jeremy to Megan, who hesitated but ultimately took the cat boy in her arms and began melting when she heard and felt him purr in her arms- quite literally, as a Shapeshifter she literally started melting for a few moments before she came back to her senses and returned to normal.
"Woah... Is she like the Faceless!?" Kayt, the ever excited kitty, jumped down from Adam's back and ran up to M'gaan, looking up at the slightly floating green skinned lady and said: "Hi! I'm Kayt! You're beautiful- Are you a Faceless? Oh, no, you're green-" The little girl gasped, her eyes almost glowing with surprise and admiration: "-Are you friends with the Garden Lady!?" The Lady of the Immaculate Garden was one of Kayt's favorite people, she loves visiting Verdant Island on the weekends so she walk around the Immaculate Garden and see the various thousands of different species of plants that live there. Looking at the green skinned, red haired woman before her, she could only think that she was somehow related to the Lady of the Immaculate Garden! A Faceless that likes the Lady of the Immaculate Garden and is taking a similar form, perhaps?
"Uhm, Lady of the Immaculate Garden?" Confused by the sheer enthusiasm of the little cat girl, Megan connected herself with the little girl's mind to know who this was- it was quite common in Mars to do so, so she saw no wrong in doing it here in a nation full of small telepathic little guys who are so fucking adorable that she wishes she could keep one! Immediately, the image of the most gorgeous woman she had seen today appeared in her mind, but she was sitting in this throne of roots and bark as she talked to several little girls about plants and how to take care of them, with Kayt amidst them taking furious notes about whatever the green skinned lady said. Snapping back into herself, Megan shook her head as she said: "Oh! Uhm, not really. I'm a, uhm, outsider!"
"Yes, Kayt-" She was immediately picked up by Adam, who chuckled as he lifted her and placed her on his shoulders, giving her a ride: "-these are my friends, and they're outsiders." It was by now that the little girl noticed the rest, as her tunnel vision faded away and she stopped focusing on the gorgeous green skinned girl- Oh, outsiders? She remembered having lessons on them in the Learning Palace of Thoth about how originally the Beastialis Empire was beneath the ground, but on the Day of Ascension, it was lifted from the ground and into the heavens by the might of the Empress himself fueled by his love to the Emperor... It was a beautiful love story, really, about how the Empress made the Beastialis Empire for the Emperor and they got together! Then the Emperor gave the Empress something? Well, she doesn't know that story.
"Uhm, hi?" She was a bit nervous.
"Heya kitty girl-" Wally instantly was beside her, holding out her paw: "-you are positively adorable." He was, honestly, fascinated by her form. He had seen the Homo Beastialis in the Pyramid Palace of Cycles (Who names their home that?), the famous Emperor of Beastialis was enormous and extremely intimidating, while the others weren't as intimidating but intimidating nonetheless. Captain Alamos was the definition of a werewolf, Robert was an enormous bat guy, and there were others too. "The name's Kid Flash." He grinned as she shool his hand, her five fingers with soft toe beans squishing his hand. "That one's Superboy-" Turning around, only then did they notice that Superboy was getting swarmed by children wanting to be carried by him, in fact, he had about 7 kids on his arms, 5 on his back, and 3 on his shoulders as he looks stoic at them. "-that one is Aqualad-" Kaldur was looking down at the artificial river that was flowing close to them, he seemed to be speaking to another person? "- that one is Robin-" Robin was a few feet away, poking a big lion guy on the shoulder so he would move so he could take a closer look at whatever he was painting: "-She's Artemis-" Artemis was already at the base of the Isis Fountain, looking up at it.
He looked around for Megan to see she had taken the little girl too, and he was holding nobody's hand. He turned to look around and he was not exactly alone- okay, that was kinda weird! He was alone with Adam, who was exactly the perfect person to be alone with because he was a fountain of answers to his many questions! "So..." He didn't fully understand why everyone left him alone with the other guy, but he didn't want to seem rude as the other members of the team were all having their own fun: "What're we gonna do now? I think this place is beautiful, but... I'm curious about everything else, by everyone else-"
"Oh, I know exaclty where to take you!" With a grin, Adam pulled Wally by the hand, ignoring the cackling of energy that happened when their hands touched: "We're gonna visit Mr. Stithi, and he'll put you in a giant bubble!" It was more of a tradition to do so with children whenever a festival was happening, but Mr. Stithi (the big white Homo Beastialis Strigidae, Wereowl) would make an exception for him! Also, he kinda wants to see Wally floating away in a bubble to see if he would freak out because that would be funny.
And like that, a date between the Fastest Kid Alive and the Brightest Light of Beastialis started.
