Capítulo 56: Of Lovers and Family

  Sanchit had meant to speak to Emily about her feelings for him and his inability to return them. However, every time he tried to broach the subject, Emily dismissed it with a smart and evasive rejoinder. As a result, he failed to accomplish what he set out to do. 

The dinner was sumptuous and was well enjoyed. Emily was chirpy as ever and entertained her guests. 

After dinner, Emily proposed to take them on a cruise by the Seine river. 

"I am not in a mood for it," said Sanchit.

"Me neither." Said Kevin. 

"Ok, then I'll drop you at your hotel." 

"No need. We'll take a cab." Sanchit said. 

"Cabs are not convenient. You are my guest, I should take care of you." She insisted and called the driver to bring the car. 

Sanchit knew he needed to put an end to this madness, he said to Kevin – "Take a cab back to the hotel. I need to speak with her."

"No problem,"  Kevin said and he bid goodnight to both of them and left.
