Capítulo 114: Chapter 91

The midday sun filters through the tinted windows of the sprawling desert hotel. Camille, wearing her sleek black tactical suit with the Widow's Bites on her wrists, slips silently onto a lower floor balcony. Her movement is fluid, swift, each action calculated. As her boots touch the floor, she immediately flattens against the wall, scanning the surroundings with precision. The pistol in her hand gleams under the soft hotel lighting, her fingers steady on the grip.

Camille makes her way along the dimly lit walkway, her senses on high alert. She rounds a corner, stopping dead in her tracks as she spots General Medrano and his entourage walking down the hall ahead of her. The click of their boots against the polished floor echoes in the quiet corridor. Medrano's gruff voice barks out instructions, but Camille cannot make out the words over the pounding of her heart.

Her eyes lock onto them. Medrano is flanked by his ever-present bodyguards. At the sight of the imposing men, Camille's stomach tightens, her grip on her pistol subtly adjusting. She slides into the shadows of a nearby doorway, her back pressed against the cool wall as they continue toward Medrano's suite.

The soft beep of a keycard, followed by the click of the suite door unlocking.

Medrano and Lt. Orso step inside the luxurious suite. Camille holds her breath. The second bodyguard remains stationed outside, his hand resting idly on his holstered weapon, unaware of the imminent danger lurking just a few feet away.

She listens intently, every nerve on edge, her breath steady. Then, piercing through the muffled sounds of the hotel, comes a scream—a high-pitched, panicked cry of a girl. The sound cuts into Camille like a knife.

Camille steeling herself thought. "This is it."

Her eyes snap open, determination

hardening her expression. She tightens her jaw, exhaling sharply as she mentally prepares for the confrontation ahead.

Lt. Orso steps out of the lavish suite, his boots echoing on the marble floor as he joins the bodyguard stationed outside the door. His expression is sharp, on edge, as if anticipating trouble. He glances briefly at the bodyguard, who remains silent but alert, both of them now positioned as an imposing wall of defens and gruffly, to the bodyguard.

"Stay sharp. I don't trust Greene... or anyone."

The bodyguard nods, his hand still resting casually on his holster. Their eyes sweep the hallway, oblivious to the deadly storm about to break.

Down below in the subterranean parking garage, The Colonel strides purposefully towards his car. His face betrays the satisfaction of a man who has just secured his future. The silver suitcase, filled with euros, rests on the passenger seat as he settles into the driver's seat.

The metallic clatter of the garage's gateway rising echoes through the vast space. The Colonel's car engine roars to life, its tires squealing slightly against the polished concrete. As he begins to roll forward, the gateway continues its slow ascent, allowing a sliver of sunlight to pour into the shadowy garage.

The whirring of the metal gate as it rises, almost ominous in its slow mechanical grind.

The Colonel looks straight ahead, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, unaware of the chaos brewing inside the hotel above. As his car inches closer to the exit, his mind is likely already on his next move, strategizing for the future—completely unaware that outside, Camille and Kage are closing in on Medrano's inner circle.

The Colonel's car inches forward when his eyes lock onto something in the distance—a dark figure, clad in armor. The stranger moves with precision and menace, like a shadow that has come to life. Kage The Colonel squints, his instincts screaming danger.

Before the Colonel can react, Kage moves. His hand darts out, a modified kunai shooting through the air. The device glows with a menacing red core at its center, its sharp triangular edges slicing through the air with a sharp, eerie whistle of the kunai cutting through the air.

The kunai embeds itself into the Colonels car's front glass, causing a spiderweb of cracks to ripple out from the point of impact. The Colonel's eyes widen, his hand instinctively reaching for his gun, but it's too late.

The red core blinks once, twice—BOOM!

The explosion detonates, the Colonel's body is obliterated by the blast. His car flips over, smoke and fire roaring from the wreckage.

The deafening explosion shakes the entire garage, followed by a moment of eerie silence. Medrano's soldiers guarding the garage are thrown off their feet, the blastwave knocking them into vehicles and walls, groaning in pain as they struggle to stand.

Kage moves with swift, silent purpose. In his palm, a single shuriken suddenly splits into a fan of many, like a deck of cards coming alive. His arm snaps forward, whipping the deadly stars toward the soldiers.

he metallic whirr of the shuriken slicing through the air, sharp and deadly.

The shurikens hit their marks with precision—thudding into muscles, tendons, flesh. Soldiers stumble, clutching at the jagged steel embedded in their bodies, their faces contorted in pain. One by one, they fall, unable to react fast enough to the whirlwind of Kage's attack.

Kage sprints across the parking lot, dodging vehicles as more soldiers scramble for cover. His eyes flick to a group hiding behind a nearby car, their weapons aimed but hands shaking. Without hesitation, Kage pulls another modified kunai from his belt.

He throws it with deadly accuracy, the kunai embedding itself into the wall right next to the soldiers' cover.

The faint beeping of the red light on the kunai, ticking down like a timer.

Kage dives behind a vehicle just as the kunai explodes, the force of the blast sending the soldiers flying, their bodies slamming into concrete pillars. The explosion rocks the entire first floor of the hotel, billowing fire and smoke consuming the garage.

The hotel's windows shatter outward as explosions ripple through the structure, sending glass and debris raining down into the desert. The once pristine, hydrogen-powered hotel is now a battlefield.

The echoing BOOMS of multiple explosions erupting in rapid succession.

Kage, still in the garage, watches the chaos unfold with cold precision. He's not here to revel in destruction—he's here to end Medrano's reign, no matter the cost.

The battle has begun. Greene's gunmen now starts are firing on as Kage reaches and retrieves a small device from its concealed compartment nestled against his chest.

Gunfire erupts from Greene's gunmen, bullets ricocheting off cars and walls as Kage dashes for cover behind a nearby vehicle. His movements are sharp and deliberate as he pulls a small device from a hidden compartment on his chest, activating it with a quick press.

A faint hum fills the air, followed by a shimmer of energy.

Before Kage's eyes, the ghostly outline of a weapon begins to form, flickering in and out of existence. Slowly, the contours solidify, and the firearm becomes tangible—a fully-formed **Lawgiver 2**, a sleek, advanced weapon crafted for precision.

Still crouched behind the car door, Kage's eyes narrow with cold focus as he examines the two shooters. "Rapid Fire" he mutters under his breath. His thumb glides over the weapon's controls, and the digital display on its side blinks to life, illuminating the words Rapid Fire.

A sharp click as the firing mode shifts.

Without hesitation, Kage stands and unleashes a barrage of bullets. The gunmen, caught off guard by the sudden assault, dive behind car doors, scrambling for cover. But Kage's attack is unrelenting, a storm of bullets tearing through the air with lethal precision. Sparks fly as the gunfire strikes the metal and glass, and the two gunmen find their defenses crumbling under the onslaught.

Kage isn't done. He adjusts his stance, his gaze locked onto the gunmen's location. With a cold, emotionless tone, he speaks once more: "Armor Piercing."

The display on the side of his Lawgiver 2 shifts, and a subtle whir echoes as the weapon changes ammunition types. With surgical precision, Kage aims—not at the gunmen directly—but at a midpoint on the wall just behind the car doors shielding them.

A snap of the trigger.

One single, deadly bullet fires. The armor-piercing round rips through the steel car door like tissue paper, passing effortlessly through the cover the gunmen thought would protect them. Their eyes widen in terror and confusion as they see the bullet emerge from the door, too fast to process.

Thud

The first shooter gasps as the bullet punches a clean hole through his chest, his body crumpling to the floor. His partner meets the same fate, collapsing with blood pooling beneath them. Kage's aim has proven deadly once again.

Kage moves swiftly, his footsteps silent as he advances toward the stairwell. Two more gunmen, panicked and desperate, are fleeing up the stairs, hoping to escape the slaughter below.Footsteps echoing in the stairwell.

Kage's hand moves like lightning, pulling the Lawgiver 2 into position just as Greene's driver appears at the entrance to the stairwell, his gun raised. A shot rings out, but Kage's movements are too quick. He sidesteps the bullet with ease, his own gun raised and ready.

BANG.

The driver drops, lifeless, a clean shot through his chest. He slumps to the floor as Kage barely slows his pace, stepping over the body and moving onward.

Smoke fills the garage, and the acrid scent of gunpowder lingers in the air. The sound of distant explosions and muffled gunfire from other floors echoes around Kage, but his focus remains sharp. With the bodies of Greene's gunmen scattered around him, he makes his way toward the next phase of his mission.

Greene's empire is beginning to crumble.
