"Care to tell me why?"
The demon Haborym asked to the woman, now slowly rotting away,
She did not spoke, her pride most important next to her desire for throne.
Haborym grows impatient, and was about to leave her in the stink-smelling cage,
When she sobbed and cried,
Then yelled with rage.
"Why is it her?! She've barely had the charms that I have!
I worked extra hard!
Haven't you noticed my want for you, all these years?"
Haborym chuckled, "Is that why you're always eager to sleep with my soldiers?
I've heard a lot about some blonde,
Seducing my camp.
But well, it was you all along, huh?
Sorry to break it to you,
But it's not love.
You just want me for some easy rise in power, right?"
"And so as that girl! We all want to rise!"
"And? Who are you to judge?
She prepares my tea, she could have poisoned me all she want,"
"So, are you really stupid to think you're in love?"
Haborym pauses, no, they are not.
However, he finds comfort in her company,
Something, for a demon of many enemies,
is deemed a rarity.
He wonders how he could put it to words,
But after a few thinking,
Walked forth.
When he was close enough,
He quickly summoned snakes which quickly injected her some drug.
"Since I do not want you talking further,
It's my mercy that you'd sleep for now,
And you won't feel your flesh slowly rotting away,
Nor feel the rats nibble your meat painfully,
as it may,"
The woman tried to beg him to do something,
To take her to Azazel, experiment, as long as she lives!
Haborym finds it funny, how desperate she is,
"Oh but sweetie, those experiments, kill the soul of the deceased.
They may look alive, functioning and strong,
But never, can they do what they truly please.
That is the prize of resurrection.
You won't have your own decisions."
Her screams filled the room and Haborym almost falter from the volume,
But it would only take some time,
Before her body turns to skin and bones.
And so he left, pity out of the question,
He hates traitors deeply,
But questioned himself,
If his loyalty to his Master,
Is half meant only.
He sighed, wondering if he could ever escape from his grasp,
Wondering if he could ever find some other purpose,
As bigger than what he now has.
He looked at his hands,
Blood-stained, soaked in countless wars,
And he looked at his cloak,
Never was better,
Even if he tries to wash it,
They all smell the same.
He walked on, until he exits the punishment chambers,
Demons everywhere, bow in his presence,
But he feels empty despite the recognition.
Knowing that all those gifts,
Won't save him from damnation.
He was treated a genius, an important ally,
But he knows he was a fool, for having not enough courage to change sides.
Why does he fear Lucifer this much?
Surely, he knows he's not God.
And yet, he can't take another step ahead of him,
Lucifer, he may not have a lot to give,
But he had a lot to take and he knows it,
As brave as they depict Haborym,
He values his life, as all would have been.
He doesn't want to die in his hands,
He knew what Lucifer was capable of,
Oh, the thousands he could command.
But, how can he escape?
He was wrapped in countless chains.
His soldiers, oh their laughs that echo the air,
They were so absorbed by their merriment,
They forgot to consider the impending rain.
The bloodshed, the great war of good and evil.
Even if they were bad creatures,
Who kills without hesitation,
They were good comrades,
Ready to sacrifice for others.
Haborym wanted to save them,
Give them a chance to start anew,
Even if it means he had to be left behind,
To save more of them,
He can only try.
He knew he's not kind,
Nor was he as merciful as others,
But he wanted to survive,
Along with his soldiers.
They've served the darkness for too long,
Forgot the warmth of the first rays of the sun long ago.
And for some reason, he felt quite hypocritical,
He hated traitors, but..
maybe he was heading to be one.
And yet, there was no choice,
He knew he can't fight Lucifer in his front.
He will die in a five second match,
And if he did, then, all he ever strived for will be done,
Gone to ash.
Maybe it's time to forget the past,
To forget and breach the contract.
Haborym walked towards the hall,
Ignoring the demons who congratulate him.
He was sick of all the praises, the half-meant smiles,
He wanted something real, something that would make him feel satisfied.
And so, even if he loved his Lords despite their abuse,
He finally decided, to let them all go.
The moment he stepped inside his room,
He ignored, even 155's worried words.
He quickly sat, and thought of a plan,
Until he thought of one.
But he needed Sellena to take a big leap first,
November is ending, and she'd be reunited to Asmodeus soon,
He knew that her contact with them will be much limited,
And so, he need Sellena to do something big,
Something that could make her move freely without much nuisances.
Sellena and 155 watched quietly as Haborym stare into his table,
Was he angry? upset? They couldn't tell, they were simply unable.
And when he finally stands, he takes off his mask,
About to do, his biggest illusion.
"You two, be careful while I'm gone.
I'll do everything I could, just so you could get out from here,
Just follow according to plan."
...
The real Haborym flew as a raven, leaving the palace,
As the fake stayed, perfect in its disguise.
155 wasn't so sure about this, but she obliged,
Knowing that it's their only shot.
Sellena is nervous, but she needed to pull herself together,
They make not have much time left,
But it's a step closer to see her brothers.
She needed to escape, to go on,
Perhaps..even without her beloved Asmodeus.
...
Haborym, flew and flew in the dark-painted sky,
Finding the angel's den may take a while,
But it's the only thing he could think of,
To save them both of hell's tight holding arms.
His powers may not be as half strong that point,
But, he simply had no choice,
Without risks, they can never move forth,
He needed to sacrifice a bit,
And he knew it's all worth.
One demon however, saw the unsual bird leave the palace,
And what an unfortunate fate, of all demons it was Satan.
He may have not been so sure what it meant,
But in case it was something he expects,
He had himself, already prepared.
After all, it's not the first time he dealed with traitors in the nest.
...
"Sellena, you heard what he said, right?
You need to let down both your beliefs and pride.
The moment they all know you're alive,
You need to bow down to the demons,
To earn their trust.
No matter how bizarre their requests are,
You need to comply, no matter what.
That way, they wouldn't feel threatened of you so much,
And for the sake of Haborym's plans to sail,
I beg of you, to do your part."
"I will. And I'm glad you're eager to get out of here too,"
"To be frank I, until now, isn't so sure.
After all, would the angels provide us lavish food?"
"Oh, dear Ama, it's not what this is worth.
Don't worry, I promise you when we escape,
You'll live more comfortably,
We'll be safe."
155 looks at her, hoping,
That whatever it was out there,
Is what she was expecting.
The heavens, for her, hadn't graced her with a lot,
But she hoped the moment they escape,
She'd recieve a blessing.
It doesn't take too long before they heard a gentle knock on the door,
But it was already dark, who could it be? This had not happened before.
The two women looked at each other, concerned,
Until the fake duke of hell walked between them and was the one to approach.
Sellena quickly hid on the bathroom,
As 155 could only listen and watch,
As the door knob clicked and open,
She could only widen her eyes in surprise.
"Oh, Lord, Satan, what brings you here?"
The fake Haborym asked, as the Demon look near,
He wondered just why a bird would have gone from this room,
It was impossible that Haborym didn't noticed, so he asked as soon.
"A bird, I saw it leave this place."
"I was about to give my wife some pet,
But she disliked the color so I made it flew away."
Satan scanned Haborym's eyes but he dare could not read it,
It showed no fear, no emotion,
So eventually, Satan leaves it.
Maybe next time?
It doesn't matter.
It's always revealed anyways,
Lies will always be found out,
And once he does,
He've already,
sealed their fates.
More soon...
