Tyler continued to lead them to the room, they weren’t sure what to expect. They just knew they had to check it and if it was worth telling the boss or not. Along the way they would occasionally run into someone and must knock them out, mainly because Tomas didn’t want AJ killing anymore people. He found it annoying, but he didn’t want to upset Tomas, so he did as he was told.
They were focused on making sure no one was around, that they didn’t notice the trap. AJ realized it just in time and pushed Tomas out of the way as a large ax came swinging down. AJ was able to dodge it and their eyes widened.
“What the hell?” Ido exclaimed and Tomas’s heart was racing. If AJ was about a second late, he would have died.
“Are you okay Tomas?” AJ asked as he ran across when the ax wasn’t swinging anymore. Ido and Tyler followed close behind and Tomas nodded his head.
“Yeah, I am. Thanks to you, I didn’t even notice it until you pushed me out of the way.”
“Yeah, I realized it a little late, it seems they have several traps. We have to be on our guard to make sure we aren’t caught as well as not to activate any more traps.” AJ said and kneeled down to see how they activated a trap, but he couldn’t tell.
“Question is how did we activate it.” Ido said and AJ continued to look on the ground before looking up. That’s when he saw multiple cameras.
“Well damn, I got careless.” He said and threw his darts hitting it in the lens of the cameras. He went down the line so they couldn’t see him.
“Seriously? Cameras? How did we miss that?” Tomas asked and Ido patted his shoulder slightly.
“No idea…” They began walking, being cautious, they let AJ handle the cameras since he was getting them in a way, they wouldn’t be able to turn on. It was only when AJ jumped back, dodging a knife that was thrown at him. He looked around before seeing the person that threw the knife. He got his darts ready and threw them, the three behind were confused until they saw multiple knives be thrown.
“Stay back…” AJ said but Ido didn’t listen and pulled his gun out. He aimed and shot at the person that was throwing knives but missed.
“Damn it Ido, I said. Stay back. A gun is too loud in the hallway.” AJ groaned and Ido blinked before realizing.
“Sorry… but I can't let you have all the fun.”
“Then carry something quieter.” AJ growled and Ido shrugged with his grin on his face. AJ glared at him before throwing another dart, and it hit the guy in the middle of the forehead. He fell over the railing, and everyone flinched besides AJ.
Tyler took the lead again and hid behind a corner. There he scanned the area and noticed six guards’ total. He turned back to the others before holding up six fingers. AJ nodded and Tomas was the next to show off what he could do. Tomas wasn’t as quiet and quick like AJ, he did better with hand-to-hand combat, and being straight forward.
AJ didn’t stop him and allowed him to do his own thing. Two guys went to attack Tomas, but Tomas easily dodged and hit three of their pressure points, and another person came up. Tomas had turned around and did the same but temporarily paralyzing them. He was always more skilled in martial arts.
When a guy came up with a knife, Tomas did a roundhouse kick. That got the knife out of his hand before he bent the guy over and kneed him in the stomach rather hard. The guy coughed up blood before collapsing to the ground. This continued for about five to ten minutes before Tomas finished off the six guards himself.
When he was done, Ido, AJ, and Tyler came out of the hiding. Tyler pointed to the door, and Tomas tried to open it.
“It’s locked…” He spoke. Ido tried next then Tyler, but AJ moved them away.
“Watch out.” He said before reaching in his pocket and grabbed a paper clip.
“You just keep paper clips with you?” Ido asked and AJ nodded his head.
“Never know when you need to pick a lock. You should make it a habit.” He said as he picked the lock. It was basic so it didn’t take him too long to unlock the door. He stood up putting the paper clip back in his pocket.
“Is there anything this guy can’t do?” Tyler asked and Ido shook his head.
“Nope, there isn’t. Except to show a true smile.”
“Shut up Ido.”
“Alright, alright.” He said feeling AJ’s glare on him, he held his hands up in defense.
“Don’t kill me AJ…” He said and Tomas couldn’t help but laugh.
“You know Tomas, I thought we were friends. Your boyfriend is crazy and is going to end up killing me one day.”
“No, he won’t. I won’t let him do that. But it is very amusing.” Tomas said and Ido sighed softly, Tyler patted Ido’s shoulder. Tyler understood why they were always working together. They were all so close, and he hoped he would be considered part of the group. He enjoyed the atmosphere a bit.
AJ walked into the room, but something came flying at his head. He quickly shut the door dodging it.
“What the fuck dude, they are everywhere.” AJ said seeing his life flash before his eyes.
“Are you okay?” Tomas asked and AJ nodded his head.
“Yeah, okay listen… I will go in first.”
“No, it’s too dangerous.” Tomas said, shaking his head and AJ frowned.
“Tomas…”
“No, you have done enough dangerous things today.” Tomas said, pushing AJ behind him. “But…” It was too late as Tomas was the first to walk alone and AJ sighed softly. He followed close behind ready to push Tomas out of the way. Tomas managed to get in and run behind a box, and the other three scattered to different positions. AJ started to throw his darts, while Tyler and Ido were shooting people. Tomas was fighting people in hand-to-hand combat.
