Capítulo 16: Chapter Fifteen

"Mum are you alright?"

Michelle who was about to drink the wine the glass paused it halfway to her lips and turned in the direction of her daughter who stood behind her, eyes filled with worry and fear.

Those emotions shinning through her daughter's eyes made Michelle remember the promise she made to herself for the sake of her daughter and shame filled her.

"I am fine baby, " she said dropping the glass to the table heading towards her daughter she promised herself to do away the bottles, this time for good she didn't need the temptation.

"I am okay sweetie, " she whispered, taking her daughter in her arms and kissing her crown.

"You hungry? " she asked her daughter heading towards the kitchen with her daughter on her heels.

"Yes mum, " Aaliyah answered taking one of the seats surrounding the kitchen table.

"So what do you want for breakfast baby?"
