Capítulo 53: Affection
"You know I despise it," Aris said with a delicate exhale as he passed a flute of champagne to Lumielle. The two of them were attending another ball, it was only right for them to show up at specific social events and talk to nobles. Aris had begun to grow taller than her, his limber frame blossoming into one that she had never seen. It was comforting to see. She wanted to see small differences that broke the glass-like surface of the past. As long as she could save Aris.
"Did you grow taller?" Lumielle asked attempting to change the conversation. Even though he was attending more events, he still despised them. Aristele preferred to stay by himself, he enjoyed sticking to those that he knew.
That she could not change and it was comforting for the small bits of her brother that she had known still stayed the same.
