Chapter 29.
It had been a few days since I hooked up with Liam and I was going crazy.
What I had done to Ella was what had caused Liam and I to break up.
I was the other woman.
If Liam and Ella were to break up, then I knew that maybe it would be because of my shameful actions.
How dare I sleep with a man that wasn't single?
I laid in bed with all of those thoughts in my head. I knew that I couldn't let what happened bother me as it wasn't my fault since Liam was the one who went out and slept with another girl while he had a girlfriend, but I couldn't help it. I closed my eyes to block all those thoughts out and maybe see if I could go to sleep.
As I was drifting off, my ringtone blared. I picked up my phone from my bedside table and looked at the caller id.
Mum.
"Hi, mum."
"Hey, honey. How are you?" Her tone was sweet and kind and it brought a smile to my face.
"I'm fine mum, and you? How's the wedding planning?" I couldn't wait for the wedding, it was a chance for me to see the rest of the family and I would meet my paternal side of the family too and I was really excited about it.
"It's hectic and I'm doing all the work while James is just laid back. I don't understand why he isn't worried Kehlani." I could tell it was frustrating her, but she didn't want it to show.
"Ma, it's fine. He's a boy. Obviously, he doesn't think things will go wrong. Sometimes males can be dense sometimes but it's fine and mum stop stressing it isn't good for you." I reassured.
"Kehlani honey I have to go. Grandma is ringing me but I'll speak to you later okay? I love you, baby."
"I love you too ma. Bye."
After saying our goodbyes, I hung up and smiled while going over our conversation in my head.
Dad, you better do some wedding preparations too or else mum will go mental.
As I laid in bed, I realised that instead of sitting there waiting for someone to confront me about what happened with Liam I could just call him and tell him to not tell anyone about the previous night.
I grabbed my phone again and scrolled through my contacts to find Liam's name.

I desperately needed to change his name. It brought up sad memories.
I halted with my finger above the call button. Was I really going to do this? My heartbeat furiously in my chest as I pressed the call button, and it rang.
After a few rings, he picked up.
"Liam, please don't tell anyone about what happened. I can't have anyone knowing." I spoke without waiting and I froze when I heard what came from the other end of the phone.
"Who's this?"
