Christian's POV
I turned off my cellphone, avoiding the call distractions. It was the rehearsal dinner. Friends and family had gathered to congratulate Audrey and I, while stuffing their faces with food.
I wasn't happy about being here, but my guilt wouldn't let me leave. I had cheated on Audrey countless times just to accomplish a silly goal I had up with my friends since in high school, but that silly goal led me to a wonderful young woman. A young woman I couldn't get out of my head.
"Wouldn't you agree, Christian?" My mother asked.
"Huh?" I asked, shaking myself from my thoughts.
"To honeymoon in Paris." She answered.
"Umm, yeah, sure, why not?" I was at a lost. My head wasn't in the dinner. Audrey's hand found mine underneath the table. She was sitting right next to me.
"Are you okay?" She asked in a whisper.
"I'm great." I lied.
"So, Christian." My mother started again. "After marriage, comes the kids. You'll make some beautiful babies with Audrey."
