As soon as the lights went out Ripley said,"They cut the power."
Private Hudson began to panic again saying,"What do you mean *they* cut the power? How could they cut the power, man? They're animals!"
"Everyone stay calm, and shoulder your weapons." ordered Kris. They followed suit as their long drilled training kicked in, the players automatically stayed near Ripley, and Newt.
"Bishop how fast can you put up the dropship for retrieval?" ask Kris
"If I leave now, 2 hours." answered Bishop
Private Hudson hearing this just lost his shyte now saying,"Well, that's great. That's just fuckin' great, man! Now what the fuck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty shyte now, man!"
Corporal Hicks grabs him by the shirt, and said,"Are you finished?"
Newt held on the edge of Ripley's shirt, and said, "I guess we're not gonna be leaving now, right?"
Ripley looked down at her and said,"I'm sorry, Newt. Just a while longer."
Newt shook her head,"You don't have to be sorry. It wasn't your fault."
ChengXiao approached the little girl and said,"Don't worry little miss, we will protect you."
The perimeter alarms then started blaring, and the automatic turrets started armming themselves.
Still caught in a panic Private Hudson screamed,"That's it, man. Game over, man. Game over! What the fuck are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?"
Burke had enough of the pesimistic marine said,"Maybe we can build a fire, sing a couple of songs, huh? Why don't we try that?"
Tengyi, and Hicks rushed towards the turrets remote monitor. They watched the bullet count on the cartridge go down like water from a faucet.
When the gun fire stop, Zheng asked,"Did the turrets run out of ammo, or are the aliens gone?"
Private Hudson sarcasticly said,"Maybe we got 'em demoralized." While picking up the life signs detector.
When he saw that there were no blips on the monitor, aside from their own. He was able to let out a sigh of relief.
The rest then also started to relax as well but, still maintaining their vigilance.
"Bishop do you have a set route to reach that transceiver dish?" asked Kris
Zheng then suggested,"Why not use the air vents? The little girl used them to go around the place before..."
"That's right I have previously seen the facility's plans. I'll be able to navigate thru the vents."
"Ok, get to it. Hudson, and Vasquez you two keep watch here. The rest of you grunts come with me, we will be shoring up our defences. So will be needing a few things from the dropship."
Everyone moved as ordered, they brought everything they would need to fend off the Xenomorphs until rescue arrives.
It didn't take long for them to transport everything in putting weapons on the table, Corporal Hicks said.
"Okay, this is absolutely everything we've salvaged from the ship. We have four M-41A pulse rifles, fifty rounds each. That's not good. We have these M-40 grenades to make up for that though."
While was reporting this he saw Newt touching one of the grenades.
Corporal Hicks reprimanded her,"Don't touch that. It's Dangerous, honey."
Ripley then asked,"Is that the only flamethrower?"
Corporal Hicks responded,"Yeah, it's only half-full, but it's functional. The other one is damaged, I don't know about that one, reaching for a box and checking.
Corporal Hicks shook his head and said,"But the good news is that we still have these sentry emplacement's ammo about two clips. With 500 each Kick-ass, I think they'll come in handy."
Kris, and the rest came in the room saying,"We have done as much as we could barricading this area, reload the turrets, and we will be done. Some of you get some rest while we rotate guards."
Time past slowly, though nobody was able to sleep due to then the tense atmosphere, so everyone stayed up.
Minutes before they expect to here from Bishop the turrets started shooting again, but this time when the shooting stopped.
Zheng, Kris, and Ripley felt very uneased...
Private Hudson who have never let go of the life sign detector, looked at the monitor. "I got signals. I got readings, in front and behind."
"From a circle, backs to each other marines!" hearing this everyone snapped to it. Ripley, Burke, Newt, and the still unconscious Lt. were in the circle.
"Where, man? I don't see shit." said Vasquez who was keeping an eye on the turret's remote monitors.
Corporal Hicks also looked, and said,"She's right. There's nothin' back here."
Private Hudson now tensed, said."Look, I'm telling ya, there's somethin' movin' and it ain't us! Tracker's off scale, man. They're all around us, man. Jesus!"
Kris, Zheng, Tenyi, and ChengXiao knowing that the Aliens are close. Gripped their weapons tight, Hicks and Vasquez are making sure the doors remain shut.
Then Hudson said,"Movement. Signal's clean. Range, twenty meters."
Ripley said while hugging Newt said,"They've found a way in, something we've missed."
Corporal Hicks said,"We didn't miss anything. We blocked off every access way from here to hell."
Private Hudson voice piped up, "Seventeen meters."
Ripley checking the tracker on Hudson's hand said,"Something under the floor, not in the plans, I don't know."
Private Hudson,"Fifteen meters."
Newt held on to Ripley a little tighter.
Corporal Hicks said,"Definitely inside the barricades now."
Newt urging Ripley to run and hide said while pulling her arm,"Let's go."
Private Hudson,"Twelve meters."
By this time Kris strapped his pulse rifle to his back, and pulled out his two lightsabers. Holding one on each hand.
Ripley eyes on the tracker said,"That's right outside the door. Hicks, Vasquez get back."
Private Hudson," Man, this is a big fuckin' signal."
Corporal Hicks asked Vasquez who was now holdibg the turret monitors,"How are we doing, Vasquez? Talk to me."
Private Vasquez still gripping the monitors said,"There's nothing there..."
Private Vasquez then saw a tail at the edge of the monitor said,"They're right on us."
Corporal Hicks told everyone," Remember short, controlled bursts."
Private Hudson," Nine meters. Seven. Six."
Ripley shocked said," That can't be; that's inside the room."
Private Hudson,"It's reading right man, look!"
Corporal Hicks said,"Then you're not reading *it* right."
Private Hudson,"Five meters, man. Four. What the hell?"
Kris had activated his lightsabers which caught Hudson off guard as the toxic green blade extended from the hilt.
Kris growled.
Then a crash from the ceiling, was heard.
A green arc sweep past the top of Hudson's head as the torso of a Xenomorph landed near his feet.
Kris put up a thin barrier between them, as they were not splashed by acidic blood.
Ripley stared at the corpse of the Xenomorph, and said,"That looks different from what I saw on our ship."
Hudson said,"What! This is just their distant cousin, or something?"
Another crash, and a scream. When they looked in the direction of the sound Corporal Ferro who was standing on that spot, disappeared.
They didn't have the time to process this as the whole ceiling came crashing down.
