Capítulo 49: Ch.49 Well, that was dumb?!
When Kris entered the secret entrance at the bottom of the hill.
What greeted him was a corridor of stone pillars jotting from the ground and the tall ceiling of what now appears to be a hollowed out hill.
This is what Tengyi, and Kris made. The top side of the hill is as ordinary as they come but after a layer of rock. The rest was hollowed out like an upside down bucket.
And, at the floor of this bucket is a forest of stone pillars that support, and seperate the structure into sectors.
Kris walk to the center of this giant death trap and sat below the center pillar, different from the other pillars that support the ceiling this one is much thicker, and a more solid kind of stone.
To avoid the detection of the troublesome members of team India, Kris had to follow this round about way.
Against infrared detection, assassin intuition, and a psyche force scan this was the only solution he could come up with.(A/N: Bloody dice wouldn't let me roll anything else!! I wanted the body snatchers idea but no...)
Kris close his eyes, and said, "Come on now, how hard can it be? This will be like playing battleship. I was never good at it though."
[Scene Break]
[3 Americans POV]
Back in the camp in Hamunaptra...
"Hey Bud, What'ya doing there?"said the 'Billy the Kid' wanna be.
"Nothing much jus' that chick said somethin' that spooked me so I ask around what this jar's for. And one of 'em said their for storing organs." said the guy with the 5 o'clock shadow
"Well there's my plan to keep this by my bed, I ain't sleeping with some bodies spleen next to me." said the guy with the glasses.
[Scene Break]
[General POV]
As time came to midnight. Evelyn opened the rolled up pages of paper.
"Do you know that looks very suspicious right?" O'Connell muttered with his eyes closed.
"That maybe true when you, or my brother does it but' us women have secrets." Evelyn laughed. She took out the professors journal from her bag and placed it next to the rubbings Kris gave her.
"My God, This is what we came here for..."
O'Connell got up and asked curiously. "I thought the Book of Amun-Ra is gold colored... Never expected it to be... well, this?!."
Evelyn shook her head. "The Book of Amun-Ra is gold colored but this isn't it... This are just rubbings from other book, I think it's the Book of the Dead..."
O'Connell became serious. "Book of the Dead? Then why are you playing with it? and where did Kris got those from?"
Evelyn laughed. "Well, it would seem he borrowed it, and It's only a book. There's no harm from reading a book... plus this isn't even the real book, just some charcoal rubbings."
Then she started reading them in a low voice...
Right as she finished, Zheng, Zero, and Yinkong immediately got up. They couldn't calm down due to a sense of danger. This sensation was so strong it was making them anxious. Danger came from the hills to the west.
The old professor also woke up and shouted. "No, you mustn't read them!"
[Kris POV]
A low rubble came from the solid rock he was currently leaning on.
"I have visual on the targets. As expected. 11 individuals, 3 seemed to be in a daze must be under some hypnosis." this transmision came from Felicity who is using the invisible Flying Car to monitor the top of the hill.
"Copy that!" Kris stood up and said, " Thanks, for the company buddy but, I have some work to do."
Kris was in fact refering to Imhotep who was in cased in the pillar of solid rock. Whilst still in his sarcophagus.
"Target in sector D-5."
Without even giving a reply Kris activated the unlocked state, and ran up the marked pillar with the support of his TK, nimble as an Ataru master.
Upon nearly reaching the top of the pillar, he lit up his lightsaber, made a deep slash at the layer of rock ceiling...
[Scene Break]
[Team India POV]
Eleven people stood on top of a lone hill ten thousand meters away from Hamunaptra. A few of them were wearing typical long robes for the desert while the others were wearing monk clothes.
"Shinaia scan the area, get me our current location." ordered the young monk, Shiva
"Yes, Leader" was there psyche force user's reply.
"Yes it seems we have entered the movie at the scene of Imhotep's revival."
"We are currently 10km west of hamunaptra."
"Thank you, Shinaia. Now what do you think of greeting the other team Minima?"
"Sure this is a good time to test 80% of the younger Taguro's power, Lamu, Shinaia, I'll be needing your help." said Minima the huge man with the younger Taguro's ability.
Shinaia, and Lamu closed there eyes Shinaia showed Lamu the area within the city of Hamunaptra, Lamu would then use his ability to guide Minima's shot, Minima picked up a walnut size pebble and ready him self for the shot.
With a nod from Lamu, Minima flicked the pebble with his thumb towards the target.
After the shot was taken...
Standing in front of him was a young monk Shiva asked. "Minima, how is the 80 Percentage Power enhancement from Younger Toguro? Even though it's one of the cheapest tier B enhancements but it should be quite powerful when combined with your fighting style. Did that rock hit the target?"The giant laughed.
"Yup, not bad. The power is almost terrifying. If we just kill a few more people and get my reaction speed up to par when we go back, then... Haha, I won't be scared anymore even if I have to go face to face with an Alien."
The monk laughed. He looked toward Hamunaptra and said. "... Be careful of that man. The throw had enough force and Lamu's psyche power gave you the accuracy."
"Yet that man was still able to block the rock and avoided any damage from the fall. He's probably one of the strongest in that new team. If they have three people as strong as him..."
But, just when he was about to continue... A flash of green light caught his eye, and Lamu was now split from crotch to chest immediately killing him.
The ding of a notification brought them back to their senses.
'One member killed. Team India minus one point. Currently at negative 2000 points. Members with negative points at the end of the movie will be erased.'
The first to react was the assassin Ator, "It's an ambush, keep your guard up!"
Everyone raised there guards to the maximum. While Shiva had Shinaia scan the area for the enemy.
But then Minima bellowed, "The enemy is in the ground!", and delivered 80% of the younger Taguro's punch towards the ground.
[Kris POV]
After delivering the slash he used his momentum to run towards another exit he, and Tengyi created just near the top of the hill.
Waiting for him at his distination was the invisible car driven by Felicity.
After reaching a suitable distance, a sudden loud bang, and dusts flying could be seen from the top of the lonely hill akin to a volcano erupting.
Kris could only shake his head, and say,"What a bunch of idiots." and looked at the watch on his wrist.
"5 member killed. Team India minus five points. You have gained 10000 points and 1 B, and 2 C rank rewards. Current score Team China 4 points; Team India -5; Members with negative points at the end of the movie will be erased."
