Two weeks had passed since the practice match and I've started to familiarize myself with this team. We hosted a training camp to improve ourselves. I guess the training camp did help us since we mainly worked on our floor defense and playstyles.
Most of the teams were alright except for that one team, what was their name...?
Ah right, Date Tech.
They sure had some annoying blockers.
I managed to learn that the coach we met was just the assistant coach and the head coach was actually an old-looking man named Norimune Kurosu.
Not only that, I also saw the manager. Apparently, she was sick the week before so she couldn't be here. I manage to talk to her and learn a few things, she told me her name was Aoki Suduo.
The twins would always argue and the only reliable person to shut them up was Gin. I have to say, these third years are amazing. The middle blocker, Rintaro Suna, always surprises me. I can never block him and it's starting to get frustrating. I should work on my blocks sometimes too.
We spent the whole week preparing and we finally got our jerseys. Black and white just looked so cool to me.

Tomorrow was the start of the Interhigh-Preliminaries. Fortunately, we were the #1 seed so we didn't have to play the first round.
"Alright, we may be the first seed but there are some teams we have to look out for" Coach said.
"There are three teams that may challenge us the most. First the #2 seed in this tournament, Shirato High School. Their ace is the player we have to look out for the most. He's one of the top ten ranked aces in Japan."
"That's right. Shirato is one of the teams we'll have the most trouble with if they make it to the finals" Atsumu said "They're also our rivals" Osamu cut off
They were in Group B so the only way we would face them is both of us made it to the finals.
"The other two teams we have to look out for are, Senseki Academy and Kyozen Tech. Both teams are in our group so we'll have to try our hardest."
As the coach finished talking the manager was cleaning the banner and it was pretty interesting to me saying things such as "We don't need the memories"
Gin saw me looking at it for a long amount of time and was kind enough to explain the motto to me, "The squad has gained a reputation for our aggressive playing style and ability to take chances as the "strongest challengers" The motto of the team is not to be weighed down by previous successes and to still take on new challenges."
I smiled at his explanation. The motto was perfect in my eyes. Don't get too cocky and be weighed down by past accomplishments and look forward to new challenges.
As I thought about it, Coach started to talk about the lineup, " This is how we'll start out, Hiroki, Suna, and Osamu will start out in the front since these are our strongest spikers."
"Atsumu, Isao, and Gin will start at the back"

It was the day of the match. It was time for the Interhigh-Preliminaries.
The first round was over and our opponent was revealed. We would play Ushiji High.
Sorry for the short chapter. I wasn't confident in this story that much so the updates are pretty slow. I'll probably release a chapter tomorrow or later.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
