As we were leaving the campus that afternoon, Reagan and I both were wary as we approached the different cars that were meant to take us home. Not that we sensed actual danger, but that there was something odd about the situation. I mean, I get why Ilana, Ashle, Lyssa and Alexa were there, but why were Kaede, Sophia and Isabella there?

Don't get me wrong, I love my friends so much. I consider them to be more like family after all. Their parents were my aunts and uncles. They were my cousins. There was no changing that for me. But still, there was something off about this situation. Something that I wasn't able to process in the beginning, but that I was still sensing. And that was why it was so confusing to me. What the hell was the matter with my senses?
