Capítulo 11: Embarrassment and the Heart
The hall quieted down after some minutes much to Catelyn's and Robbs discomfort and embarrassment. Afterwards, while Robb showed Alexios's companions their sleeping quarters for the night and then the tavern. Eddard Stark was sitting across a table from Alexios. Catelyn went to see her daughters while the two men talked. Eddard brought out some papers and began to read them.
"Do you know magic Alexios?" When Eddard Stark said that, Alexios's eyes locked with his. "People say I do, what do you say lord Stark?" "Just answer the question and don't play with words, we both don't wish to waste time." Alexios Sighed and crossed his arms leaning back into the chair.
"Yes, yes I know magic." Eddard Stark's eyes went wide and fumbled his papers. "I see, is it true you have an army of over 10,000, all of which are loyal to you and not to house Dragen." "Yes that is true as well lord Stark." "Are you truly loyal to Robb…my son?"
Alexios smirked and closed his eyes taking a deep breath. "Lord Stark, I see potential in your son Robb and I find him a funny person to be around. I've sworn my blade and my blood to him. If he decided to raise his flag and take Winterfell from you, I'd still be loyal to your son as I gave my word. If he said he wanted the seven kingdoms, I would say when do we start."
At the words he spoke, Eddard looked surprised but also amused. "Well you're blunt, I'll give you that. At least I know you're not someone to sweeten your words. I grant your leave through the seven kingdoms with my son as to give him experience in the southern kingdoms but he must be back around a years time." Alexios's brows twitched as he thought, 'I never said I wanted to do such a thing.'
The two ended their meeting after a few questions that were more about loyalty and honor than anything else. Alexios found his companions within the tavern which was of no surprise to him. As he entered, he saw Robb dancing with Toros and William as Garold was dancing atop a table playing his lute and singing. Reana and lil were eating but Lili was swaying her head and Reana was tapping her foot. When everyone noticed his arrival, they hailed him to join them.
He danced, drank, ate, and laughed with his companions and now sworn brother Robb. It was a pleasant time. One of which Alexios would remember fondly in the days to come. When the sun was rising, Alexios's eyes fluttered open. The sun rays hitting his eyes so as to avoid them, he tried rolling over.
What greeted him was long black hair into his face and a soft mutter. He was shocked and tried to remain calm. That was when he realized he was naked. Did he..? No, he couldn't..? Memories flashed through his mind till one face came to him.
He remembered Reana asking for a dance and him agreeing, the two's black hair mixing with their twists and turns. The heat in the room making their skin glisten and their cheeks red from the alcohol. He looked over and saw the side of her face.
He had no words as he realized she was naked as well. Then it hit him like a dothraki stallion in a charge. They...they had sex… him and her who he has known since he was six years old. A woman who inspired him to be a better fighter, leader, and man. He wasn't sure what this would lead to but he was too flustered to find out right now.
He grabbed his clothes and covered himself. As he was about to leave through the door, he opened it and found Lili and Toros there about to knock. They saw him barely clothed and trying to leave made their thoughts run wild. "Alexios… you… did you and Reana… I didn't know you two… I'll leave." Was all Lili could muster before leaving with a red face as Toros was laughing as silently as he could.
Toros put his hand onto Alexios shoulder wiping away a tear. "I came over just to see if Reana was in trouble. I heard a loud rumbling noise earlier and lots of slamming sounds with some cracks forming on the wall. When I tried to get up though, I was half drunk and ended up putting my foot in a bucket. Which led to me falling out a window and sleeping for a little while haha!"
Toros was laughing at his own story but seeing him laugh so much made a smile creep onto Alexios's face. He excused himself to his room and shortly after got fully dressed into his armor. What followed was hours of training and memory flashbacks as everything slowly came back to him. Morning soon came and as everyone was eating breakfast the hall went suddenly quiet. A hostile and aura full of death filled the room.
Alexios looked behind him to see Reana coming inside the room, grabbing some food and sitting as far away from him as she could. It was obvious she was mad at him but only three of the five people their knew why. "Uhh, Alexios, what happened between you and Reana?" "Oh, umm, nothing really happened…"
As his words left him, Reana threw her food at him and stormed out of the room. Lili said she would go talk to her. Alexios realized he might've said that too loud. "Alexios, it's no doubt you're a genius among geniuses but sometimes you amaze me by how stupid you can be haha!" Toros's loud voice boomed in the room which made Alexios's lips twitch and turn into a scowl.
"Reana! Please wait up! It's just me Lili!" Lili had finally managed to catch up to the stomping Amazonian. "What?!… I'm sorry, I'm just not in a good mood." "I know, I also kind of know why…" Reana's head shot toward Lili as she grabbed her shoulders.
"It's just that, he was leaving you're room and I was about to knock so I kind of put two and two together." Reana's cheeks flushed crimson before sighing. "It's okay Lili, I just didn't think my first time would be like that or that the one I do it with would leave me while I'm still sleeping." "I'm sure he feels really bad about it. Why not talk to him about it?" "Have I ever told you sometimes you act the most mature out of us all?"
The two talked some more as Reana calmed down and Lili seemed to become happier. Garold and William were asking Alexios all kinds of questions, most of which he wasn't comfortable answering. Most he wasn't sure of the answer himself. As the day drew to a close Alexios was sitting in his room when a knock was heard. "Toros, I swear I will shove your own axe so far up your arse you'll be shitting doubles f...!"
When he opened the door, Reana was looking back at him with wide open eyes filled with shock and confusion. "I am so sorry, I thought you were that oaf trying to tease me more..." "We need to talk..." With only four words she shut up the giant of a man who was fumbling for words before. "I know you are a lord and I shouldn't expect anything since I hold know ties to land... but I need to know, to hear you say it."
Alexios looked into her sharp red eyes that complimented her personality and how her lips quivered as her words came out. He knew his responsibility and what it meant. He could build a lasting alliance with another great house. Gather more land and support behind him when the time demanded it. All of it was useless when looking at the once strong woman who was now on the verge of tears. All of it was useless when his own heart bled for the bond they built.
The hours of training alone to see who would give up first. The silly contests to see who was better at anything just to have bragging rights over the other. The way they always gravitated towards each other on a battlefield to watch over each other. The years of memories they mad both good and bad only strengthening their trust and their care for one another. Could he really throw all of that away just for monetary gain that he could gain through just some hard work like he has already done.
"Reana, I care for you. I don't want to see you cry as your smile lights my way on the cold and dark path we tread. The real question is will you still be content with me as the years follow? Will you still want me on this path I have been lead onto? I know that no matter what happens, I want you by my side whether that is on a battlefield watching over each other or next to each other laughing with our friends."
Reana looked at him as her eyes were glossy and her heart beat heavy. She always saw Alexios as a rival to beat, a invincible man who no matter what achieved his goals. He was always with his friends and always spoke the truth in the end even if it was after some jokes. She knew what she felt for him was real when she looked at him and saw his smile. She never had a chance from the start of her birth though and she knew it.
Now the man she wanted, some would call still a boy only by years is confessing to her. Her mind in shambles as she knew she couldn't hide the truth from him anymore. She had to show him the truth she has been hiding since she was five years old. The truth that ruined her life, or so she thought at the time. "Alexios before anything, I have to tell you something... I am not who you think I am..."

BBQChickenAlertBB Wow... Really didn't think I would finish this chapter! I know, it was more lovey dovey but atleast I left the good stuff to your imagination.
