Its Alora birthday and everyone is preparing to celebrate it. Kyra was sent back to dragon city with a severe punishment, but she has something up her sleeve to get her Dez back. Tristan and Lynia had a talk about Marina and Lynia promised to control her temper until she has the child. Dez prepared for Aloras day in town, he did his best to make sure everything went perfect for her. As a punishment to Marina, King Titus made her prepare for Aloras birthday party. He told her to make it perfect. Aubree and Malik spent the majority of their free time in Maliks chamber, Aubree had to sound proof his chamber since they were making so much noise. Sorsha spent a lot more time together, they spent most of their time practicing sparing, he wanted Sorsha to be properly prepared to fight. The assassins that King Morton sent found Alora and are watching her from a distance. Today would be the perfect time to take her, she rarely leaves the castle's property. Alora POV
I woke up in a very good mood today, Of course its my birthday but my bloodmate is taking me to town today and I rarely get to go into town. After I took my bath, I went back into the room and seen a bouquet of roses and a gift box on my nightstand. They wasn't there when I first woke up, hmmmm.... I walked over to smell the roses, then I picked up the card that was in them, " Happy Birthday green eyes, here's a little something to start your special day. I would really appreciate it if you wear this necklace on your big day, it will bring out your eyes". He's so sweet, I can't help but to fall in love with him. I picked up the box and opened it, it was a beautiful green rose pendant with emeralds on it. I thought about all the times he complmented my eye color, how can I be so fucking stupid, his color is green and he wants me to wear something with his color on it. He doesn't have to ask, I would gladly wear anything that has to do with him. I grabbed a necklace I had in my jewelry box and hooked the pendent to it and put it around my neck. I was admiring my perfect gift in the mirror when there was a knock at the door. I wonder who the hell this is, I know its my birthday but dam, it is early as hell. I walked over and opened the door hoping it was Dez but it was my father holding a gift, " Happy Birthday princess, your Sorsha and I thought you would love to wear this on your trip to town". He handed me the gift and gave me a big hug, " I have some business to attend to, I will see you when you return". He fumbled through his pockets frantically, " I almost forgot, this is from your mom, she's in bed this morning, but she wanted you to have this".
I gave him a big smile, " Thank You father, I will see you later". I closed my door, took the gift over to my bed and sat down. I opened the gift from Sorsha and father and it was a beautiful red dress with shoes to match. It was so pretty I couldn't wait to wear it for Dez. I put the dress and shoes on and went down to the kitchen to retrieve Sorsha and I breakfast. When I reached the kitchen, Sorsha was already there sitting at the table with our food sitting there with decorations and flowers. "Happy Birthday Alora! I thought I would have breakfast ready since it's your big day", as she smiled. I started smiling as I started to walk over to the table, " I feel so special, you woke up early to make me breakfast". I walked over and hugged her, " Thank you, I know how hard it is for you to get out of bed". She smiled and hugged me back, " It was no problem, I didn't want you to get your dress dirty. I spent a lot of time picking it out for you. Now come on let's eat so we can get ready to go into town, I'm so excited". We sat there for hours. It seemed just talking about our bloodmates and what we wanted to do once we're older. Once we were done, we went out to the garden to wait on Dez and Max. My heart just fluttered every time I thought about Dez, I was excited and nervous to see him. He's been a little distant since the incident with Kyra. We sat there for a short time when my mother came walking up, " Happy Birthday dear", as she hugged me. I'm not feeling so well today but I wanted to wish you a happy birthday in person. I also came as a messenger, Dez wanted me to give you this letter, come Sorsha you can meet her in town". Before I could say anything they disappeared just as fast as mother appeared. I looked at the letter and was very curious about it, so I opened it. "Dear green eyes, I thought we could have a little fun while I test your ability to listen and observe everything that has happened between us. A scavenger hunt is a fun way of doing this. Good luck green eyes, see you at the finish.
1st clue: When I first met you, our eyes met and I knew you were meant for me. Go to the place where I told you the truth about us.
A scavenger hunt? Well he knows how to get my attention. This 1 is easy, how could I ever forget that night. I used my vampire speed and ran to the garden where the benches are. After looking around, I found the next letter stuck under the bench," I knew that was too easy, but this one will not be. The day you met him he knocked you on your butt. Come to where I threatened to rip his arm off for touching you". What?I know hess talking about Max, but where in the hell did I meet him? I was going through my memory when it hit me which corridor I met him. As soon as I reached the corridor, I saw a bottle of champagne hanging from the ceiling. I looked up wondering how the hell did he get the string up that high. I grabbed the bottle and there was a letter stuck around it. "Now I have stalled you long enough to pick out the carriage, come to where I seen you upset about grandfather". I stood there for about 15 minutes, how in the hell does he expect to know that? I thought back to when Dez and I went for a walk. We talked for hours about everything and everyone during that walk. I think he was preparing me for this scanvendar hunt for this exact question. (flashback). Dez and Alora were walking to the beach when Dez stopped and looked at the main gain to the castle, " That's where I was saying goodbye to Jackson" He then pointed to the main entrance and faced her, "That's where I seen your beautiful face in so much distress I looked at your beautiful sad face". He looked her in her eyes and grabbed her hand " Even Tho I only knew you for a very short time, my heart ached when I seen you sad". He kissed her hand and gave her a sincere look, " You're my other half, I'll do everything in my power to make you smile and laugh".
I instantly started blushing thinking about the tingles I feel whenever he touches me. I never knew this is what if feels like to have a bloodmate, i've always wondered who would I spend an eternity with. I was sitting there daydreaming about Dez and I when I realized that I must've been out of it for a nice 20 minutes and Dez, Sorsha and Max are waiting on me. I ran until I reached the front entrance to the castle and began to walk. As I walked and observed the decorations and the long silk rug that was laid at my feet and a horse and carriage was waiting. Dez stepped from around the carriage looking so handsome in his black button down shirt and black slacks. He had a green tie and a green royal armband on. I was so speechless when I seen him, it was like he was molded just for me. I started walking toward the carriage as my heart felt like it was about to beat out of my chest the closer I got closer to Dez. He reached his hand out for my hand and helped me in the carriage, but not before he kissed me on the cheek and whispered in my ear, " Happy Birthday my beautiful green eyes". I instantly blushed as I felt tingles where he kissed my cheeks. I climbed into the carriage and Sorsha and Max were already sitting and waiting, " I thought you would never show up Alora, I swear you are so slow", Sorsha said as she smiled. Sorsha looked beautiful as usual and Max had on the same thing as Dez but he had an orange armband. I looked at Dez and smirked while I answered her, " Well If I could have just met you guys here instead of a scavenger hunt, I would have been here sooner". Dez gave a little wink and smirk as he put his hand around me, " I thought you would enjoy it, plus I wanted to see how much you paid attention to our conversations, I actually thought it wasn't going to take this long". Sorshas looked over to me and saw me blush, then she grabbed the champagne out of my hand, I forgot I had it in my hand, " Come on let's go, it's been a long time since we've been in town together Alora. LETS HAVE SOME FUN!".
We had a good hour ride to town, I never understood why we are so far out of town. We drank and I asked Dez about their armbands. He told me because he's King Titus first in command and Max is his fourth, they have to wear them anytime they are out in public, he said something about respect/ When we reached town it almost looked completely different, I know I have been in town in 5 years but if I just looked foreign. We went shopping , Dez brought me a couple of outfits and scarfs with his color on it. I was starving by then so Dez and I told Sorsha and Max that we will meet them at the restaurant because Dez wanted to walk and Sorsha didn't. Dez always seemed quiet when we are around anyone, always so serious, I was really glad we had some alone time.
