"Hanging out together, you don't have to always treat them, Fay," said Denis explaining calmly, "you can still hang out together by paying for each other's meals. You often drink with Mia yourself after work, right?"
Faye slightly disagrees. There are employees who are married, how can she let them pay for food using their own money? She as the owner of the restaurant felt she had to treat them well, and again that included her pride.
"How about we do it after this?" Denis suggested.
"No," Faye quickly declined.
"Why?" asked Denis curiously.
"I have to take care of those three former employees, you forgot?" Faye asked back.
"Ah, right," said Denis, "should I come too?"
"Do you have other business?" Faye asked back calmly.
Denis was silent for a moment. Should he say that he wanted to hurry to go home to see Ivy?
"Denis," Faye called out coldly, "you haven't promised hours to be honest with me."
