Capítulo 66: Connect the Dots

Jennifer walks across the street as she gets off a cab, and hands over some cash to the driver. She thanked him, and closed the car door. She went on and knocked. Cathay immediately opened the door and let her in. She hugged her mother tightly, who seemed to be in shock. She looked at her daughter, and with tears in her eyes, asked her, “You’re pregnant?” Cathy nodded, but was unable to speak. Jennifer had told her a week ago that she would come home and take care of her, but she had no clue of what had exactly happened to her daughter. She pulled her, hugged her and kissed her forehead. “Where is Jonathan?” she asked, but Cathy simply shook her head and looked down. Jennifer held her arms and led her to take a seat. “He told me he loves you, promised me that he would take good care of you.” Cathy could not utter a word, but cried so hard as she buried her face in her hands.
