Capítulo 63: Chapter 63: Oath and Instinct

The glint of a golden dragon statue reflected from stained glass windows within a spacious Oriental study as a man in formal eastern attire entered. A man of great stature sat behind a large rectangular desk in the far end of the room while he meticulously wrote something on a sheet of paper. Large collections of books and manuscripts loomed behind him like old shadows of their once useful selves.

"Chairman Xi, here's the sales report for today..", pointed the manservant out as he handed out a stack of papers to his master.

Xi Weidong took the report before reading it. He put his pen down momentarily to give a short look at it. "Very well. Nothing seems to be of concern.. just another ordinary day in the market I suppose."

Shortly after, the door to the chairman's home office slightly opened. A young boy barely out of his early childhood peeked through the small opening shyly, making sure his father had the time to attend to him.
