Capítulo 50: Chapter 50
Everything happened in slow motion to her. Eri watched as Mirio came towards her with a kind smile on his face, his body acted as a wall between her and the bullet.
She couldn't do anything but watch, however her eyes widened as she looked at the bullet approach. It was agonizing to her. It was happening so slow. She didn't want this.
As it came closer, she heard something break through the wall to her right but her eyes only focused on the bullet. Her eyes widened when something stood in front of her and the bullet. It was yellow in color as the bullet slammed against it and didn't get through.
She watched as Overhaul sent a wave of stone spikes towards her and Mirio. However, she wasn't afraid as she was shielded from the attack.
Overhaul stared in shock as he looked at the culprit responsible. Axel stood there and looked at Overhaul as he approached Mirio and Eri.
Mirio looked at Axel in relief. He smiled at Axel who looked at him.
" Thank you, Axel! " Mirio said gratefully.
" No problem. " Axel said. " Take some rest for now. "
" No, I can still fight. " Mirio said as he stood up.
" You people don't know when to quit. Again and again. " Overhaul said as he got ready to attack again.
* boom *
They looked over to the side to Midoriya and the other heroes blast through the side of the wall. Midoriya looked towards Mirio, Eri, and Axel. He breathed out a sigh of relief. They were alright.
" Mirio, take a break. " Axel said as he looked at Mirio.
" We'll be fine. " Axel said as he looked towards the heroes entering.
" He's right. " Nighteye said as he approached Mirio. " You did well. Leave the rest to us. "
Overhaul took this opportunity and attacked the heroes. He aimed for all of them, avoiding his subordinate in the process.
Axel noticed and blocked the attack as Overhaul rushed towards his subordinate. He couldn't get far however as Midoriya appeared in front of him and kicked him in the face.
He grits his teeth as he endured the hit and looked at Midoriya. He reached his arm put to touch Midoriya. Everyone looked on with their minds running to stop Overhaul.
A yellow barrier in front of Overhaul's hand. Midoriya looked at the barrier, his mind running with possibilities. The question that came up in his mind was if Overhaul can disassemble Axel's barrier.
The barrier broke into pieces as Overhaul's hand touched the barrier, yet Axel didn't have any reaction. Overhaul's hand kept approaching Midoriya. Midoriya watched as his hand moved closer to his face. He tilted his head as much as possible to avoid Overhaul's hand.
' One down. ' Overhaul thought.
Toga watched the sight with a wide grin on her face as she used all her willpower to not laugh in pure delight at the scene.
Midoriya's face was doused in blood.
Overhaul watched in shock before letting out a scream as he watched blood pour out from his arm.
Everyone watched as Overhaul's hand dropped to the floor. They looked at Axel who just looked on with a blank face but his eyes were cold as he stared at Overhaul while walking up to him.
When Axel broke his barrier into pieces, he took one of those broken pieces and changed it into a shuriken, which he then sent straight towards Overhaul's hand, slicing it off. The reason why the barrier broke was because Axel destroyed his own barrier to trick Overhaul.
Axels barriers are made out of energy. His own stamina is used and converted into energy that's molded into the barriers he can create.
Eri watched with wide eyes. She felt relief flood over her, glad that one of the people who made her feel safe was alright. She looked towards Axel who was walking up to Overhaul. She was afraid that he will die but she didn't speak out.
" You... " Overhaul said in rage as he looked towards Axel.
He got information from the LOV about Axel and decided that it would be better if he just made Axel lost to try and stop him. That was Mimic's job. He had one job but Axel was here.
He understood why the LOV saw him as an obstacle that needed to be removed immediately. Axel didn't even care that he sliced off Overhaul's hand.
Overhaul healed his arm, reassembling it as he looked at Axel slowly walking up to him. He needed to get rid of him, so Overhaul made his move.
Blood poured out from Overhaul as he stared in shock. He couldn't feel anything anymore in one of his arms and both of his legs. The other heroes looked in shock at the loss of limbs.
* bam *
Overhaul spat out blood as he was slammed into the wall behind him with a giant hole in his stomach. In front of him, Axel's stage 2 had blood on its hand.
Midoriya, Mirio, Uraraka and Tsuyu stared in shock at Axel. Axel didn't hold back as he quickly destroyed Overhaul in a matter of seconds.
Twice had to hold Toga down and cover her mouth from squealing as to alert the heroes, but even he just stared in pure awe. Toga was smiling widely.
' I want to see him bleed. ' Toga thought.
Eri stared at Axel with wide eyes. She was afraid of Overhaul for what he did to her. She watched Mirio struggle in his fight against Overhaul while protecting her, but Axel was beating him easily.
However, in the silence of the fight, she looked towards Nemoto who had his gun loaded and pointed towards her. The other heroes heard the noise and looked towards him.
Nemoto looked at Eri and fired at her. He knew that the bullet would be blocked, so he used it to stall for time to allow his boss to come up with a plan.
However, his eyes widened as he grit his teeth at the pain he felt in his body. He looked to his left to see the spot where he got shot. He looked towards Axel who merely side-eyed him.
' Monster. ' Nemoto thought.
He then felt himself lose consciousness after he got hit in the back of the head. Axel looked at him before looking at Overhaul who had fury in his eyes but also caution.
He had already healed himself and touched the ground. He blew apart the ground all around the heroes. Their eyes widened as he sent multiple tines spikes at everyone. Axel stared as he creates barriers to protect them.
He then giant bats that broke through all the spikes, clearing the view for everyone. Everyone stared at Overhaul who placed his hand on his subordinate. The heroes watched in horror as Overhaul combined himself with Katsukame using his quirk.
" I'll kill you. " Overhaul said in rage. " Eri will be coming with me. With her, I'll change this rotten society into something better, once the plaque known as quirks, ceases to exist! "
Overhaul stared in shock as something slammed right through him. Axel created a small drill and slammed it into Overhaul repeatedly, tearing through him.
Multiple holes appeared as Overhaul fell to the ground. He watched as Axel walked towards him with a blank face, stage 2 already out. Axel stood in front of Overhaul as stage 2 went to his face.
Stage 2 patted him on the cheek as Axel stared at him.
* bam *
Stage 2 slapped him across the face. Overhaul went flying to the side and skidded on the ground. He came to halt as Axel watched him.
It took almost all of the willpower in the world for Toga and Twice to not scream at what they saw. They wanted revenge for Magna and so far, this was it. Seeing Overhaul getting his ass beat.
" Tsuyu. What am I watching? " Uraraka asked.
" I think this is what happens when Axel gets mad, kero. " Tsuyu said with fear.
The other heroes felt the same. Midoriya just at Axel with fear in his eyes as well. He mostly saw Axel as a laid-back person who didn't really care about many things, so seeing him get serious and going all out on the attack was terrifying.
Mirio looked at Axel with a straight face. He watched Axel cut off Overhaul's limbs without a care in the world. Overhaul could heal himself so is that why Axel had no problems with it? He'll ask later. After all, a few broken bones can be healed but losing limbs, not many can get them back.
Eri watched Axel walk towards Overhaul. She didn't have any fear. The last few moments were eye-openers. She knew Overhaul was strong. When Mirio arrived, she was scared that he would lose his life trying to save her.
He had so much trouble, fighting Overhaul while protecting her and defeating his subordinates. She didn't think this would happen. She watched as Axel pried open Overhaul's mouth to reveal the real human face of Overhaul underneath.
Axel stared at Overhaul with a blank expression as he worked down at Overhaul with cold rage in his eyes. He didn't wait. Stage 2 come out and slammed its fist onto Overhaul's skull.
Overhaul watched as the punch connected to his head. He felt his ears ringing and his eyelids drop, Axel's face being the last thing he saw before falling unconscious.
Eri let out tears as she saw Overhaul defeated. She was finally free.
