" What's up with those faces ?" I said with a awkward smile because I guessed the reason already.
The three of my subordinates did not speak for while before the most rational one of them Shimizu, spoke with a shocked tone.
" Captain , I thought that I had some idea about your strength so I agreed with our plan but this was really insane. "
I on the other hand just smiled wryly while thinking that even Nara could give such shocked expressions as they are lazy all the time. What could I do ? I could not tell them I had a Raven defying system fused with my soul so I was way more stronger than this.. They would never believe me..
So I just returned to my lazy expression because it was a pain to think about any excuses as I thought I did not need to explain anyway ..
The background music which were the sounds of huge battles at so many random places was getting little annoying now. I did not forget the mission which Sakumo gave us so I decided to proceed with it again.
" Etto... Shimizu san, thank you for your compliment. Now please wake these two up too so that we can continue with our mission.. What a drag..."
I really enjoyed Shimizu's expression when I stole the Nara clan's signature catchphrase in front of him. Anyway after few minutes we started moving again but Miki and Shinji were looking at me with confused and reverent gazes which were annoying honestly.. I guessed that they were too confused right now so decided to leave them be.
The battlefield was in total chaos as new enemy groups engaged each other just when they killed or shook away from another one. We were like fish in water because I focused on the killing while my subordinates finally proved their strengths.
Shimizu was tasked with binding the enemies using his shadow manipulation jutsu. He had an easy time because he only needed to hold them for a second when me and my clones finished them lightning fast.
Miki focused on support from our backs and honestly she was a great help because she could contain some enemies for few seconds who were out of the range of Shimizu's jutsu.
Shinji played the most important part because he would use his Bugs to confuse the enemies and separate them in small groups for the rest of us to take care of them swiftly one by one.
Such flashy actions of my team were bound to be noticed by both allies and enemies. So the battlefield slowly started getting concentrated in my squad's direction. The enemies could not wait to tear us apart while allies would never let that happen as we had helped them too much in these six hours since the battle began.
I was honestly not worried even one bit because even though my chakra was less than half remaining , I could always replenish it instantly by releasing one of the shadow clones sealed inside the seal on the palm of my right hand.
I was too lazy to act by myself though so I just created five shadow clones who had enough chakra to fight with cannon fodder enemies using only swift release, body Flicker, Taijutsu and pure KENJUTSU without chakra.
I even ordered my clones to inscribe a simple B rank concealment seal on their sharingan and use them freely in battles. After all the battlefield was a great experience ground to train my sharingan faster. It was nightmare for enemy genin and chunin though because my clones could easily dodge whatever ambush or jutsu they threw at them and killed them like slaughtering vegetables instead .
My subordinates had long been stunned by my actions in these six hours so they now seemed somewhat used to my means. I just shrugged and we continued to retreat towards a distance away from the concentrated battlefield. The whole area was a desert only so we just stopped a few kilometers away and started watching the battle leisurely sitting on top of a tall sand dune. Chakra was amazing as we could sit on top of sand without sinking just by sticking our bodies with it using chakra.
I was in mood of eating some popcorn and even had some inside my inventory. I decided not to eat them though because that would be too much shameless of an action. We were already skipping our participation in battles now after all.
" Captain, I can swear that there is no other ninja like you in Konoha... "
" Captain, your plan of luring enemies into a compact formation was too impressive... I'm amazed that we did not die after facing so many battles. Thank you captain. If not for you we would have been already killed some where .."
Well I liked the praise from a beautiful teenager girl like Miki but honestly I just formed and executed a plan which would allow me to work at my pace and then I could relax and laze around until night time when there will be temporary ceasefire until morning most likely.. Of course I did not share my view with them though from Shimizu's speechless gaze , I could guess that he must know my viewpoint and plans by now.. Its troublesome when your subordinate is a Nara because you cannot hide things from them for long.. Sigh..
