"Thank you so much for doing this, Max..." Emmelyn gave the man a quick hug and smiled. "You are the only good thing in my life right now. You have no idea."

"Why, thank you," Maxim smiled back. "I am glad I could be useful for you."

"Well.. should we make plans for the trip to Myreen?" Emmelyn sat back on her chair and reached out for the wine jug. She felt overwhelmed by all the information she received earlier and wanted to calm her nerves down with wine. She raised one cup and asked Maxim, "Would you like a cup of wine?"

"Yes, please." Maxim nodded. He waited patiently until Emmelyn poured him a cup of wine and another one for herself before he took the cup and raised it to his mouth. "Thank you."

They both drank together, feeling happy. Emmelyn was happy because Queen Maude was willing to help her because she felt sympathy for Emmelyn as a mother.
