"I can't believe you really did that...well, I mean, I guess I can, but it's still pretty surprising," Remarked Kilella with a grin. 

"I don't get what's so surprising about it. From my perspective, it was totally the obvious thing to do," I shrugged in response. 

Today's the 11th of January, three days after we repelled the Wight invasion of the Sanctuary. And despite the fact that we won in the end, the Wights managed to inflict some seriously heavy damage in their wake. 

There had previously been a little over eight hundred active X-Warriors in the Sanctuary...more than five hundred of them had been killed. All the Aces had survived, but the total numbers of J and Q-Ranked X-Warriors had been severely annihilated, and just under half the total K-Ranks were killed too. 

And as for the civilians, a total of over thirty thousand people had been killed by the Wights, with the majority of those coming from the South and West Quadrants.
