Usagi, Owl, and Lazuli were crouched down behind a wall to one of the facilities.
They watched as soldiers marched through the streets looking for the intruders.
"How do we find out where your folks are?" Owl asked Usagi in a hushed tone.
"No idea. But there's only four farms in the area, so it must be one of them."
Lazuli looked up. The wall they were crouched behind was tall. Too tall to see over my normal means. "We're gonna have to jump the walls. Can't go in through the gate. I'll check this one."
Owl nodded.
Lazuli stood up, bounced in place a little, then delicately ran up the side of the wall and perched on top. She took a gaze around the farm. It was barren, with no grass, no animals, rusty equipment, and no workers.
Lazuli looked down. "Usagi. There's nothing here."
She looked up. "What do you mean, nothing?"
"Just what I said. Nothing. There's no one here."
