"Thank you," she murmured.

"Of course."

She pulled back and looked at him. "What about you? Are you completely healed?"

"Yes."

She sat up and swung her legs out of bed. "I'm going to check on the baby."

Bilal gripped her wrist. "He's sleeping." He could hear their son's steady breathing. He would be asleep for some time unless interrupted and Bilal knew that his son needed the healing sleep just as much as he had.

Carmella looked down at Bilal's hand on her wrist; grey and tan against brown. She met his expectant eyes and smiled.

"You aren't ready to get out of bed yet?" She said with a teasing tone.

"There are things that I would like to do in this bed." He sat up. Long dark hair trailed in unruly strands over his shoulder and when the bed covers moved down below the dark thatch of hair that nestled between his legs and hinted at the delights to be found there, Carmella felt a warm jolt of electricity between her own thighs.
