Capítulo 19: Barrage of Pebble

As soon as Luke's solemn voice resonated in the quiet area, nothing happened other than Luke's palm getting sliced by the Yurnero strike.

'Damn it! Why is it not working?' Luke mused angrily before pulled his bleeding hand quickly to avoid any physical contact with Yurnero's mysterious palm ability.

Yurnero didn't immediately chase Luke and only looked at Luke with an amused expression, "Just now I thought you were going to perform something big. Turned out it only a bluff movement."

Luke gritted his teeth in annoyance upon hearing the mocking tone within Yurnero's voice. Why does my skill doesn't work? Is there some kind of requirement to carry out the skill?

While Luke's body began tensed under Yurnero's pressure, his mind worked at a rapid pace trying to search what mistake he made while performing the skill.

Then memories of the game he played on earth emerge on his mind. Luke quickly scanned his surroundings and found a thing he been searching for. It was a small-sized rock located not far away from him. He focused his gaze on the rock, then making a grasping gesture. With that stance, Luke said solemnly, "Control."

This time, as soon as Luke's voice reverberated, the space around the rock seems distorted for a moment before an invisible power lifted the rock, making it float in the air.

"Success!" Luke exclaimed in delight.

"YOU! You're a Transcender too?" Yurnero blurted in shock.

Luke turned around and grinned, "Only just now."

"What an absurd! Anyway, your fate wouldn't change even if you're a Transcender." With that being said, Yurnero pounced on Luke and seemed taking Luke seriously now.

Luke knew that the might of his abilities currently was only could something like lifting a little thing. If his ability is a little stronger, this Yurnero won't dare talk so big as he did just now.

Seeing his opponent coming toward his direction, Luke began to try lifting all pebble scattered around him.

"Space Manipulation: Control!"

All pebble near Luke started to shake and gradually floated up in the air as if being awakened by a mysterious power. This scene was quite eye-popping since Luke looks really like a magician at this moment.

Luke was aware that his movement would take a toll on his body, but he didn't think it would be an FP that he always believes useless. But since it already reached this way, he could only grit his teeth and continued his movement. His consciousness start slipped out bit by bit. His eyes grew sleepier. Fortunately, his skill preparation gets finished before he getting fainted.

After all the pebble starts getting in the position, Luke mumbled under his breath, "Barrage of Pebble! Launch!"

All the pebble starts launching themselves like a group of bullets toward Yurnero's figure.

*Whoosh*

Yurnero, who witness much small rock flying in his direction, didn't hesitate to squat down and covered his head with his hands. He didn't dare to underestimate the might of the rock that was flying to him.

Realizing Yurnero attention was entirely focused on defending from his barrage strike, Luke Suppressing his urge to sleep and starts walking in the direction he has been coming in. The reason Yurnero wasn't eager when chasing Luke was that this road is a dead end. Since he couldn't possibly climb a wall that had a height of around 5 meters, why should he stay like an idiot here? In a moment of distraction, Luke began dragged his exhausted body.

Coming out from the alley, Luke kept running and darted his eyes around here and there, frantically searched for a place to hide. In desperation, he approaches a woman that seems in daydreaming. Wearing a blazer purely white in color except for a red stripe that outlines the blazer's edge, the woman looks serene and pure. Her skirt was black in color, completely contrast with her angelic upper appearance. But Luke was in no mood to appreciate such a view since his mind was already clouded by tiredness.

He sneaked his hand over her mouth and inserted a slight pressure on it. The woman widened her eyes upon realizing what's happening. She wanted to struggle but stopped when she heard a weak voice beside her ears, "I won't do anything to you. But please help me find a place to hide for now."

The woman nodded after a moment of hesitation. Luke released his hand and muttered faintly, "Thank you."

When the woman turned around, Luke couldn't take it anymore and immediately passed out and landed on the woman's embrace.

The woman wanted to throw Luke's body directly after he landed on her body. But in the end, she managed to refrain herself after taking a glance at Luke's weary face. The woman heaved a loud sigh before easily carried Luke's body on her shoulder like a sack as she entered a small motel near her position.

-A minute later-

A figure abruptly appeared. His clothes were torn with many holes. His hair was dishevelled, and his pair of eyes were bloodshot, containing anger and humiliation. This figure was none other than Phantom Hand Yurnero. His face which currently looks like an angry beast scanned his surrounding. People who got glared, flinched in horror upon realizing it was Phantom Hand Yurnero who is staring at them.

"Come out, you little mouse!" Yurnero yelled. As people were frightened to the point they couldn't talk, no one responded to Yurnero's yell.

Before Yurnero start shouted again, a clap sound entered his ears.

"Are you the one who called Yurnero?" A woman's gentle voice greeted him.

Yurnero immediately turned around and found himself stood rooted on the spot. As he eyed the gorgeous woman, he found it suspicious about her presence. It's not like Red District's lack of beautiful woman, but the woman in front of him was clearly in different classes. Thus, he couldn't help but become wary.

"Yes. And I wonder who might this pretty lady be?" Yurnero cleared his throat before speaking courteously.

"I have a business with your boss. Can you tell me where he is?" The woman seems not interested in introducing herself and directly tell her aim.

"Don't try to scam me, girl. If you got business with my boss, you would be meeting with him directly instead of asking me." Yurnero became more conscious about the motive of the lady before him after hearing her question.

"It seems my humble request got rejected, huh. Very well." The woman muttered before pressed her finger on her left ears. She mumbled something before smiling at Yurnero.

Yurnero shuddered at that dazzling smile. His instinct immediately warned him that that woman is dangerous, so he started running in the opposite direction without hesitation.

The woman pointed her beautiful slender forefinger and chanted lowly, "Starfall,"

A moment later, above Lark Red District happened a bizarre scene. A ball that emitted a blinding light slowly descends above Yurnero's figure. Like being trapped, an oppressive aura starts binding Yurnero from its position rendering him rooted on the spot. Yurnero tried to move his mouth, but no words come out.

The woman's eyes were cold as she didn't spare a glance before turned around. At that moment, the ball of light finally reached the ground and immediately exploded.

*BOOM*

Soon, any trace of Yurnero was gone and leaving only a massive pit that would definitely be remembered by anyone that witness the occurrence.
